This story is a bit depressing. Sorry.

-------------------------------------

You walked in the door of the house, carrying grocery bags. After setting them down, you went upstairs to find Dean. He was in your bedroom, packing a bag.

"Dean, what are you doing?" You were confused as to why he would be packing. Then it hit you.
"Hey babe. Sam needs me to help him on a hunt. I'll only be gone a couple days since the case is in the next state over." He smiled, kissed you on the cheek, then went back to packing.
"You're joking right? I thought you said you were going to give up the hunter's lifestyle after we got married." Hunting was a touchy subject for you. It was how your Dad and younger brother died.
"Listen, Sam really needs me to back him up on this one. I promise I'll be okay." You agreed just this once.

That was three hunts ago. And now he was leaving to go on yet another one. You were sick and tired of not knowing if Dean would come home.

"You're seriously going on another hunt?! Dean, I thought we talked about this!" You yelled at him. He looked up from his bag and grimaced.
"Sam needs me, (Y/N)! I can't just leave him to take care of this himself!" Dean slammed the bag closed and zipped it.
"You told me you wouldn't do this anymore! Do you have any idea what it's like to not know whether you're coming home or not?!" Tears threatened to spill over, but you refused to show Dean any weakness. He just sighed angrily and threw the bag over his shoulder. "If you love me, you won't leave." You regretted the words as soon as they left your lips. What you had just said was a line that should never have been crossed in your relationship.
"Goodbye (Y/N)." He walked out of the room. You heard the front door slam and the Impala start before speeding off.

You sat on the bed, finally allowing the tears to fall. As much as you didn't want to admit it, you'd known all along that Dean wouldn't give up the hunter's life completely. He cared too much about his brother.

Later that night, Dean called you from a hotel room. You didn't answer, refusing to give him any satisfaction. Any sadness you had felt earlier had now turned into anger.

"Baby, please. I'm so sorry about earlier. I didn't mean it. If you really want me to, I'll give it up. Completely, I promise. Please, just call me back. I love you." The answering machine clicked off, and you shook your head in disgust. You'd heard the same excuse every time he left, and tonight was the last straw. This time you weren't going to forgive him.

You pulled out of the driveway and headed in the opposite direction from where Dean had gone. With no idea where you were actually going, you just drove. And drove. And drove. Eventually you'd find somewhere to start over. This time, hunting wouldn't play a part in your life.
