Hyewon (Ex-IZ*ONE) x Male Reader
AngstHyewon's POV
"Where the hell is he?" I looked at my watch. "I'm sorry Eomma, let me go call him."
She nodded then I walked outside of the restaurant. I dialed Y/n's number, it rang twice before he picked up.
"Hey baby," his voice sounded nervous.
"Where the fuck are you?!" I exclaimed. "My Eomma and I have been waiting for thirty minutes."
"The traffic's bad Hyewon," he tried to tell me. "I'm sorry. I'm almost there."
"Whatever," I hung up then walked back into the restaurant. "He'll be here soon."
My mom nodded then we waited. It was another ten minutes before he sat next to me. I glared at my boyfriend.
"Mrs. Kang," he bowed to my mother. "Hey baby."
I nodded to him then the waiter came to our table. He took our orders and before he left, he winked at me. I smiled, at least he has initiative.
"How you are doing Mrs. Kang?" Y/n started.
"Please," my mother scoffed. "Enough with the small talk."
"Sorry," I saw Y/n look down.
I shook my head in disapproval at him. My mother looked to me then raised her eyebrows. She's never really accepted Y/n and I.
Today she wanted us to break up. My boyfriend being late didn't help anything. The food was set in front us. The waiter set something on my napkin.
I picked it up to see it was his number.
"Keep it Hyewon," my mother spoke. "You'll need it."
I saw Y/n look to me as I pocketed the paper. I picked up my chopsticks then started to eat. There was an unsettling silence that filled the atmosphere.
"Alright," my mother put her chopsticks down. "Y/n look. I've never really liked you in the first place."
"Eomma!" I exclaimed.
"I tried for my daughter's sake but you're no good for her," I saw Y/n look down. "Obviously, you think she's okay if you're late."
"Eomma! Stop!" I glared at her. "Not here!"
"What she needs is a strong, caring man," my mother snapped at Y/n. "Not a self centered, idiotic boy."
I froze, Y/n was always sensitive. This cannot end well. I saw my boyfriend stand up from the table as he looked to my mother.
"What would you like me to do?" He didn't look at me, almost as if he was ashamed.
"Just go," my mother waved him off. "Leave my daughter and never talk to her again, or else."
Y/n nodded then walked out of the restaurant. My heart ached as I watched him get into his car crying.
"Finish your meal Hyewon," I nodded then ate quickly.
I needed to get to our shared apartment and explain this to Y/n. I shoveled the food into my mouth.
"Let's go," I nodded then stood up.
I paid for the food before we walked to my car. My Eomma got into the passenger seat then I drove off to her house.
I dropped her off before speeding to the apartment. I arrived in five minutes then ran to the apartment. I opened the door to see Y/n packing all his things in boxes.
