Y/n's POV
"Come on," I mumbled as I tried to get my hand unstuck. "Why the fuck does this shit have to happen to me?"
"Such language," I turned to see my girlfriend Jennie. "What're you doing?"
"I dropped something down the sink and I tried to catch it with my hand but it got stuck," I explained
"Well," she walked to me. "You got in it, you can get out of it."
"Jennie please," I whined playfully. "I need help."
She shrugged and walked away leaving me with my hand still in the sink. I got the dish soap then dropped it around my hand.
It was slippery enough so I pulled my hand out. I laughed knowing that it worked well. My fingers still clenched the thing in my hand.
I washed off the soap then went to where Jennie had gone. She was sitting out on the porch as she looked up at the sky.
My feet carried me to her and made me stand in front of her. I smiled as she looked at me with a weird look.
"Are you on crack or something?" She eyed me.
"I love you," I got onto one knee. "I love you a lot and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Jennie, I've never met a girl like you and I feel like you complete me. I want to marry you, I want to give you a big house and a family. So," I pulled out the ring. "Will you marry me?"
She looked at me blankly. I waited for her answer for a couple minutes before she stood up.
"Jennie?" I followed her into the house.
"I-I can't marry you," she said looking to me.
"What?" I looked to her incredulously. "Why not?"
"I just don't want to," her eyes glistened.
"But," I shook my head. "I thought you wanted to."
"That was forever ago," she wiped her eyes.
"Jennie," I tried to grab her hands.
"I'm sorry," she ran out of the house.
My heart dropped hard as I realized she was leaving me. My phone rang so I got it out of my pocket and answered it.
"How did it go? Did she say yes?" My sister, Lucy, asked.
"N-No," I leaned my head against the nearest wall. "She said no."
The line went dead making me cry more. I started punching the wall hard as time went on. My knuckles were starting to bleed but I didn't care.
"Stop," I felt arms wrap around my waist. "Stop Y/n."
My fists stopped colliding with the drywall. I let the person take me to the living room. I was sat into the couch before I saw Lucy.
"Tell me what happened," she brushed the hair out of my face.
I explained everything, from getting my hand caught in the sink to Jennie rejecting and leaving me.
"At least the garbage disposal didn't turn on," Lucy tried to lighten the mood but failed. "Look, there will be more people Y/n."
