Sunmi's POV
I was sitting at home on the couch waiting for my wife, Y/n, to come home. I was eight months pregnant with our child.
We didn't want to know the gender so we could be surprised. I was due any day now and I was excited. Our baby would be an excellent Christmas present for the both of us.
I rubbed my stomach and said,"Mama's almost home. Are you excited? I know I am."
I felt the baby kick against my hand and I giggled.
"You are going to be quite the athlete," I kept stroking my stomach and looked at the calendar on the wall. "It's almost time for you to come out."
I looked at our Christmas tree set up in the corner until I heard the door being unlocked.
"Sunmi-ah! I'm home and I brought some food," Y/n announced, closing the door. I got up from the couch and walked to her. "Hi babe."
She pecked my lips and gave me a hug.
"How are you doing? Any cramps or pains?" she asked rubbing my stomach.
She got on her knees and kissed my stomach. I smiled and ran my fingers through her hair.
"No Y/n. Not yet, just kicking," I told her truthfully. She stood back up.
"Okay. Well, are you hungry?" I nodded frantically. Y/n chuckled and walked to the kitchen with me hugging her arm. "I got gimbap and kimchi with bulgogi and chicken feet."
She went to the cupboard and got plates for us.
"Thank you," I said and started to dig in. "Oh my god, this is so good." I was in love with the flavoring of this food. I felt the baby kick,"I guess you like the food too."
I giggled and patted my stomach gently. Y/n grabbed a napkin and wiped the side of my mouth.
"I bet they'll be a messy eater like you," I gasped and smacked Y/n's shoulder. She giggled and kissed my cheek. "I love you, Lee Sunmi."
"I love you too, Jo Y/n," I kissed her cheek and cuddled into her.
We resumed eating and talked about our day. After we were done, we put our dishes away and sat on the couch.
"When do you think this little one will finally come out?" I asked Y/n.
"Hmmm....maybe in a couple days, near Christmas time or something like that," she smiled at me.
I smiled back at her and put my head on her chest.
"Well, I hope they come out on Christmas Day. It would be our best present that day," I spoke.
She nodded and kissed my forehead. I returned a kiss on her jaw.
"Do you wanna watch a movie?" Y/n questioned.
I nodded and she put on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I giggled at her childness and watched the movie with her.
About halfway through the movie we both fell asleep, the movie playing softly in the background.

The next day I woke up in the bed, tucked underneath the covers. I sat up and stretched, then I saw a note on Y/n's pillow.

I have gone off to work for the day. If you need anything, call me. Even if it's for help walking down the stairs. I love you, see you tonight.
