Parallel
Take a point on a graph.
Any point.
Draw a straight line through it.
Take another point.
Any other point.
Draw a straight line through it.
A line with the same slope as the first line.
Now compare the two.
Notice how straight they are?
How they reach toward infinity and back?
How they so perfectly counter each other?
These lines are called parallel:
Two straight lines
That go on forever
But never intersect.
Always within view of each other.
Always traveling together,
Forever and ever until you run out of room on the graph.
They'll always be there with each other.
Wherever one is, so the other will be.
But the thing about parallel lines
Is that no matter how close to each other they are,
They will never
Ever
Touch.
