The evidences collected from the scene of murder were displayed on the table in separate zip-lock bags. Olivia and James exchanged nervous glances as they analyzed the lab test report that came in that morning from Tasha.

Things were not looking good.

The glass door to their sanctuary was pushed open by detective Tucker and detective Watson, both looking every bit like the case was.

Tensed.

Wound up.

'What have we got, Summers?'

Tucker was first to speak, his seniority over Watson making him morally responsible in their joint case.

'I am afraid the DNA samples were quite clean, detective. They must be professionals. Not even a single piece of evidence to point to their identity was left... which is uncharacteristic of rash, hurried robbers.'

Olivia relayed the information and Tucker's brows dipped in thought. James nodded and stepped forward.

'That would mean that this whole robbery-gone-wrong could just be a cover up. It is not normal to leave not even a stand of hair or touch or anything basically.'

'A crime of passion, perhaps?' Watson asked nobody in particular. 'Nothing had been stolen from the restaurant other than nine hundred dollars in the register. And if the witnesses are accurate, the death happened a minute into hijacking the restaurant. Bludgeoning a man brutally to death sixty seconds into intrusion and avoiding the restaurant money safe is suspicious.'

Olivia nodded, relieved that something came out of the depressing lab result. The murder had hit mainstream news and the pressure on NYPD had been enormous since the morning.

'Could the killer be trying to send someone a message?' She asked, a question that had been in her mind since yesterday.

'Could be.' Tucker nodded gravely.

'Blood samples we took from Shaw showed traces of alcohol... and cocaine. The packet we recovered might be for personal use.'

Olivia said, disappointed that they had nothing to issue a warrant against a powerful man like Keres Konstantinos who was obviously hiding something. The detectives silently examined the evidences.

'We can stop by Shaw's household and see if we get anything.' Tucker said finally, 'It still doesn't make sense why a retail businessman would sell any information to Keres Konstantinos.'

Watson found himself nodding to his partner's suggestion. 'We can also stop by the hospital. If Mrs. Shaw has anything to say, it could give us some pointer.'

And with a few more confirmations, they marched out of the precinct.

'Well, that was disappointing.'
