Olivia was sitting on her desk, analyzing the reports that came in from Shaw's post-mortem. There was the obvious contusion from the blunt force trauma that caused severe damage to his brain and spinal cord and there was a bruise on his collar.

It was nothing exciting.

Perhaps the lack of excitement must be due to the fact that she could only fully open her eyes after her sixth cup of coffee and silencing her damn phone which blared once every minute with promotional calls. Olivia hadn't slept a wink last night after finding her TV shattered in her living room.

What had caused it; she had no idea.

It wasn't the innocent pigeon, that's for sure.

Then her mind drifted back to the peculiar woman she'd met that night.

'Liv.' Tasha rolled her easy-chair towards her slouching friend. 'You look like you've been run down by a train. What's the matter?'

Olivia sighed and dragged her eyes to her concerned friend. Olivia knew that she looked like a disaster and the biggest mistake was removing her sunglasses on entering the lab. Natasha had seen her unsavory dark circles and bloodshot eyes.

'It's just that I had a nightmare and couldn't sleep. It's nothing, Tash, don't worry.' Olivia replied, her hand supporting her heavy head.

Natasha's eyes crinkled in accusation. 'Well, don't blame me. My best friend is hiding secrets from me. How do you expect me to not worry?' Olivia blinked confusedly at her friend who suddenly looked hurt.

'What had I ever hid from you, Tash?'

'What about last night when you said something about Tyson or someone. Tell me, is he your ex? Is he threatening you after your one-night-stand or something?'

'What? No!' Olivia jumped up in her seat to face her friend in ridiculousness.

'Just tell me if it's true. I know this cool trick with a spoon----'

'No, Tash!' Olivia shuddered, 'I did not hook up with anyone named Typhon. And no, I wasn't lying to you. Someone I met recently told me about this dangerous criminal and how he escaped prison and might be after them. I swear I was just trying to help them out.'

Natasha still had her eyes narrowed in suspicion.

'Okay. If you say so.'

With that she rolled away to her station where she had a robbery fingerprint search. Olivia focused her attention back to the dreary post-mortem reports.

'Girls!' James pushed through the glass door with an enthusiastic smile, 'Guess what? We have a new development in Shaw's case. And you won't believe it.'

'What is it?' Olivia got up from her seat to face James and so did Natasha.

'They questioned Shaw's supplier, they said he was just a reg. But then they told that the only people who had beef with him were this rider's gang. He had been in a lot of shady business and once told on them for money. Tucker went in for arrest and they admitted they did stage that robbery but it was for someone else. Someone else wanted him dead and that someone was the one who killed Shaw. And this is where it gets freaky. Guess who did it?'

'Who?' Natasha asked.

'A guy named Typhon.'

Olivia's blood ran cold. Shock washed over her and if she was being completely honest, guilt and dread. She simply stared at James numbly, slowly taking in the implications and the full extent of this news.

The Konstantinos brothers were involved.

'Can you believe it, Liv? You friend's ex is the killer!'

Olivia could feel the burn of Natasha's glare on her face. But like a coward she was, she didn't face her. She just stood there, gaping at James.

Her lie had come to bite her in her a*s. Within no time, a grim faced Tucker will come in to ask about this so called 'friend' which never existed in the first place. There is no other way out of this other than coming clean with Tucker.

Before that happens, she had to do the most unprofessional thing she had ever done in her life.

To meet a suspect beforehand, that is.
