"Everything I Truly Am"
'Looks like the demand is empty now.'
Thànatos spoke first; his brows raised in Makelo's direction and then turned to Olivia who jumped up with cheeks flaming in embarrassment. Damianos followed her lead, his eyes still as wide as saucers as he stared at the three Gods gathered.
One glance at Makelo, Olivia knew what was about to go down.
Olivia rushed behind the three Gods in a leap just in time before Makelo's sword reached her. In a panicked flap of his wings, Damianos managed to escape as well.
'Woah, dude!' Damianos exclaimed in surprise as he hovered above in a safe distance from the sword. 'What did I do?!'
Olivia watched as Apollo summoned his golden sword, arming himself with his spiritual weapon like Thànatos and Keres had already. He wasted no time to swing at Makelo who defended with ease.
Olivia turned to Keres and caught his gaze. With a shudder of relief that surprised her, she rushed into his arms. Her arms wrapped around his armor clad torso as she relished the safety that being in his arms brought, even though they were no better than strangers. Perhaps she needed a familiar face after the trauma she went through in less than 24 hours. She pulled back and stared into his dark eyes, tears of relief misting her eyes.
'Are you alright, little one?'
His husky voice had a tone of growl in it. She nodded weakly and hugged him tight again. His gloved palms pressed against her back once he vanished his axe as she placed her hot cheeks against the cool metal of his breastplate. Her right hand entwined with his free hand and squeezed.
'Let me take you back to my mansion.' Keres said when she pulled back abruptly. The clangs of swords continued in the background to which they paid no heed.
'No, don't!' Olivia shook her head wildly as the thought of going back to where Selene was appalled her. 'It is dangerous. Send me to Olympus.'
'Olympus is being attacked.' Keres told her with a sigh.
'Then have me where I am the safest.'
Keres' eyes burned into Olivia's soul, making her feel all warm inside. Olivia brought up her shaky hands that was in his and removed his gloves. His intense stare followed her moves diligently as she removed the heavy silver ring off her thumb to return it back to its rightful place. She looked up at his cloudy eyes.
'I feel the safest with you. So keep me close to you.'
The ebony in his eyes were mesmerizing and she admitted to herself that she missed it. She missed him. All the shades of black in his orbs swirled around in a heedless pattern as they looked into hers; pulling her in with the profoundness of a black hole. He gave her quick nod making her smile.
