(origin) Latin: acknowledgementI know that for those who have never read any of my previous books, I am just a silent writer of a fantasy-political novel. But as someone once said, silence doesn't mean absence of thoughts but presence of a hundred thoughts that can never be said out loud simultaneously... or something like that. The point is, I didn't want to give everything away too early. Besides, as a part of self-improvement in terms of professionalism, I didn't want to sound trashy and ruin it all for my book.
First and foremost, I would like to thank @Devita33 for giving me inspiration for this book. I had always loved Greek Myths and loved the Erebus and Nyx's legends especially and reading her book some three-four years ago gave me the courage to pen down my own ideas of how the family was. In fact there are many easter eggs through out referencing her works in a sort of homage but that being said, do check out her works-- it's amazing.
Now, since that is settled, let's get into the main reason why I am here: to talk to you about the past, present and future of this story you just read.
This idea, or specifically this book as the rest of it is still under construction, is the result of a year-long grind from my part. I am extremely proud of it, despite its many flaws. But what is perfection without flaws? They are the true marks of humanity, I believe. The characters were purposely made to look and sound cliché and mainstream and I am sure most of you picked up on it. And my goal is to humanize and make them more flesh-and-bone by the time I end this story. Because let's be real, there needs to be a stand-out point to sell it if I later publish it paperback.
Is that the only plans I have for this story's future?, you might ask.
Patience, my child.
Now that Scattered is done, I am planning to play by the reception I will get before I announce the second installment. I am open to constructive-criticism and if possible, make changes to make Scattered a better version of itself. Fair warning, I might choose to ignore a few suggestions if they pose contradiction to the future of this story. Again, flaws being the humanity and everything. And while this second editing is going on, I will be finishing up the second installment. If the general reaction is good, I will be releasing it in 6-8 months.
Remember, my long-term goal is publishing it in paperback.
Now, you might wonder if the second installment is the last of this series? No, there will be a third and last installment, along with a standalone which takes place in the same universe. About its future plans, I am unsure of. But I do know that it will follow in a similar fashion to that of the second installment.
I will be keeping a steady update on The Silver Series on my profile, keep an eye out for it. I am planning on opening polls, other suggestions and fan arts, so there is that incentive.
Until then... I, Khaos of this fictional Universe, bid you farewell.
