Chapter 24: Safe

~ Y/N's P.O.V. ~

I woke up, expecting to feel Damian's warm embrace. But instead I feel coldness and an empty space where his body used to be.

I get up, not wanting to be alone. As I walk down the stairs, I touch my cheek and smile. Damian patched it up for me, saving me once more. K get to the living room, where chater occurs.

I walk towards the couches, before I see him. My eyes widen, why was he here?

"Y/N! Please wait!" Nolan yells after me as I run away.

"No! Leave me alone - oof!"

I run into someone and fall backwards, but the person grabs my waist and my hand. I open my eyes and meet his green ones.

"Y/N? You're awake!" He says helping me stand up properly.

"Damian! He's here!" I yell hugging him.

He takes me in his arms, like he always has, "hey, it's ok. I'm here, he's not gonna hurt you anymore. He's getting help."

"But I don't want to see him . . . "

Damian picked me up, and kissed my cheek. He looked at me with those beautiful eyes of his, I've never noticed how beautiful they are.

"Don't worry, we can go to your room."

I rest my head in the crook of his neck as he takes me to my room. I'm luky to have him, i know that I don't deserve him. But I'm grateful. I love him.

"D-damian, I love you," I say.

"Ah . . . . . . . Not now, jamila."

I look down as he puts me in my bed.

He sighs and picks up my chin with his hand, "I love you." He gently kisses me.

This feeling . . . I never felt this when I was kissing Nolan. I kiss back. He beaks th hx kiss and rests his head on my forehead. He is blushing and I'm sure I am too. He smiles a little.

"I'll be back. I need to see if father's here."

I nod, "please hurry . . . I can't stand being away from you when N-nolan is here."

"I promise it will be quick," he winks at me before leaving.

My heart flutters as I lay down in my bed. I've been with the wrong person this whole time. I touch my lips and smile. He tastes like peppermint, te-he-he!
