Carti - Two months later
It seemed like my life had shifted into another level in the past month or so and it was crazy. After the BET awards all kinds of business deals started coming my way. I had a Sprint commercial with my song in it just to name one. I was back in Atlanta to stay for some months and shit was getting better.Aaliyah ended up coming to stay out here with me too. She didn't want to at first but Ian told her he needed her to stay out here with me. Her needing to stay out here with me was the truth but not as necessary as we made it seem.
The main reason why Ian thought it would be a good idea to have her come with me was because of Santana. He only got probation and has to take classes for domestic violence for doing what he did to Aaliyah. Of course we all thought that was bullshit but she took it harder than all of us.
I looked up from my phone and see her walk in the room with a basket full of clean towels and wash cloths.
"I told you I was going to wash those." I said.
"The least I can do is wash a few dirty towels and wash clothes for you since you're letting me stay with you. You don't make me pay a single bill or nothing its cool trust me." She said.
"Aaliyah c'mere." I said and she stood in between my legs.
"You not my roommate, you not just somebody staying with me, and you not no guest. I asked you to come stay with me so I don't expect for you to pay for nothing. I want you to treat this place just like your home why you think I made a whole room for you to work in?" I said.
I've had this conversation with her multiple times since we've been here and she still felt the same way. I hated that she was so independent and never wanted me to do nothing for. I could barely get her to accept gifts from me especially if they're expensive.
"I don't get why you're always being so sweet to me. I haven't did nothing but my job as your friend and one of the people on your team." She crossed her arms.
"Whatchu mean? Aaliyah ever since you came into my life nothing but positive shit has been happening for me. You've impacted my life in so many ways I can't even name them all." I pulled her closer to me.
"Yeah like what?" She smirked rolling her tongue inside her mouth.
"You helped me get clean, you make me happy, you inspire and motivate me to work harder, and ever since you did your little voodoo magic on me all these good things been happening to me." I smiled.
"Voodoo magic? I didn't do anything except cleanse your aura. I got rid of all those foreign and negative energies you had from messing with all them random hoes." She laughed.
"Yeah whatever all I'm saying is you my girl, my homie, and my healer, allat. I owe you way more than you owe me." I said.
"Oh so I'm your girl now?" She said smirking.
"You heard what I said." I licked my lips.
"That's not how that works." She said placing her hands on my shoulders.
"That is how it work 'cause you be playing with me. I be trying to cuff you and you be acting like it's something wrong with a nigga or something." I said.
"Ohh okay, so since that approach isn't working you just telling me I'm your girl now?" She laughed.
"Yeah, why you be playing with me anyway?" I pulled her into my lap so she was straddling me.
"I'm not playing with you Jordan you already know how I feel." She said and I sighed.
I leaned back in the bed and placed my hands on both sides of me before flipping my dreads out of my face.
