Carti - A week later
Since Aaliyah left I've been sleeping in the studio and I leave just to come home to wash up and change. Today was the first time I had been home for more than five hours but only because Pierre had business to handle this morning.

I grabbed my phone off of the charger and facetimed Aaliyah while grabbing a towel. It rung but she didn't answer the phone so I hung up.

"Damn.." I said turning the shower on.

I looked at the time and figured she was probably getting ready for work or on her way out. I stripped out of my clothes and got in the shower letting the water run down my body. I washed up and then got out and brushed my teeth. My phone started ringing and I propped it up seeing Aaliyah was returning my call.

"Hey baby sorry I missed your call." She said fixing her hair in the mirror.

"It's all good, how you doing mama?" I asked smiling.

"Good, I think I'm finally almost adjusted in my condo and even though it doesn't feel like home it's almost there." She smiled into the camera.

"That's good, we gotta break in the new bed when I come see you." I winked sticking out my tongue.

"I love the sound of that baby. How are you doing?" She asked laughing.

"I'm always good baby you know that." I said grabbing my phone walking out of the bathroom.

"Jordan you always say that and I genuinely want to know how you are. Don't close yourself off from me." She said and I sighed.

"I miss you and I want you to come home that's really how I'm feeling. I've been working my ass off because of it though." I said grabbing some clothes.

"I miss you too and I miss you so much that I started designing some tour merch for you." She smiled looking at the camera.

"Oh word? That's fye you gotta send me all your designs." I smiled.

"I'm almost done with them you might have them by tomorrow morning." She said.

"Sounds amazing baby." I said pulling my shirt over my head.

"So it's friday do you have any plans tonight?" She asked.

"Studio and that's it you know I don't go out." I laughed. "Do you have any plans tonight?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm going to a club tonight after dinner." She said.

"Who you going with?" I asked putting my jeans on.

"The only people I fuck with out here." She said laughing.

"Okay I just wanna make sure you safe. You know how niggas is these days." I said.

"I know and I'm always safe you know that." She said.

"Yeah but I'm not worried about you it's the people around you in that club. Niggas might start shooting and it might not have nothing to do with you. God forbid you get hurt while I'm not there it's going to be hell when I do." I said.

"Aww you're so protective over me I love it." She smiled and I laughed.

I continued to get dressed for the day while I listened to her tell me how she hated driving and how the traffic is horrible there.
