Everything I Could Ever Want

Today is December 9th. Ultrasound day!!! Ryker and I barely slept at all last night. We are full of excitement. We get to see our baby today. We haven't told our family or anything Serena is the only person who knows and she only knows because she was with me when i found out and she took me to my first appointment. I'm so glad she was there for me for that. I'm even more excited that Ryker will be with me at the appointment. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat. I haven't told Ryker but I plan to get all of the ultrasound photos and everything framed so we would always remember what this pregnancy was like.

Our appointment was at 12:15 today and it was 11:30 right now. We were ready about twenty minutes ago we are just waiting for a reasonable time to leave. It will take us around fifteen minutes to get there and we like to be early so we will be leaving in like fifteen minutes. I am wearing a pair of black leggings and a navy colored oversized sweater and a pair of uggs. I decided no makeup today since I was just going to cry it all off anyway. Ryker is wearing a pair of medium wash jeans and a tan sweater. He looked nice.

We are sitting in the living room unable to contain our excitement. I haven't eaten anything yet because my stomach is full of butterflies and don't want to get sick. We decided we would stop at a diner after the appointment so he hasn't eaten anything either. 

"Are you excited Princess?" he asked rubbing my shoulders. 

"So incredibly excited. We get to see our baby today." I literally could not wipe the smile off of my face. I could tell he was feeling the same way. "We should just go now." 

"Okay, my car or yours?" he asked standing up.

"Yours, I don't want to drive." I chuckled.

We went downstairs and got in his car. He turned on the radio and Hozier's Take Me to Church came on. I love this song so naturally I had to sing along. Ryker sang with me and it was honestly a lot of fun I love that we can just let loose and be silly together. I have so much love in my heart for this green eyed guy next to me.

We pulled up at the doctor's office at exactly 12:00. Fifteen minutes early. 

"Hi, My name is Hadley Davis. We have an appointment today to see our baby." I told the lady behind the front counter. 

"Welcome in Hadley. Go ahead and fill this form out and a nurse will call you back when they are ready for you. Okay?"

"Sounds great" I grabbed the clipboard and we found a couple seats. Ryker grabbed the clipboard from my hand and began filling out what he could.

"Do you have your insurance card?" he asked. 

"Yeah, luckily I'm only twenty-three so I'm still covered under my parents, because otherwise I would be on state insurance and I honestly don't even know how that works." I chuckled handing him my insurance card.

"Well the baby will be covered by my insurance then so we don't have to worry about it. Someday we will all be on the same insurance." he said with a wink. I giggled lightly when he said that.

"Hadley Davis!" a loud feminine voice said. I looked over to where it came from and I saw a nurse standing there waiting for us to come back with her.

"Hi, I am Hadley this is Ryker. He is the baby daddy." I said laughing lightly.

"Nice to meet you Hadley, Ryker. My name is Rebecca. If you guys will follow me we can get your vitals and everything."

"Perfect." We walked into a little room where Rebecca weighed me and took my temperature and blood pressure.

"Alright, lets go to an exam room. This way." Rebecca said when she was done with that room. "So today is your first ultrasound correct?"

"Yes it is we are really excited." Ryker answered this time as he grabbed my hand. We were led into a clean exam room with an ultrasound machine next to the bed thing.
