A week had passed and Faolon was finally well enough to get out of the hole.

I had been letting him walk around the cave, where he had lived, but not outside yet. I was making sure that he was ready for whatever he had to do. Sure, he was still a little weak, but he wasn't that weak.

"Gosh, I need some fresh air," Faolon said, from where he was laying down. He had been pacing for a while, probably nervous on what the wolves would say.

"Hey, I didn't do it," I said, absentmindedly, packing up my bag. I was folding a dirty shirt, knowing that I was going to have to wash it when I get home

"Do what?"

I paused in what I was doing and looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?"

"Well you said 'I didn't do it' so I was wondering what you didn't do."

I thought of the conversation and couldn't help but grin sheepishly. I started to put my shirt back into my bag. "I'm sorry. I didn't know I said that. It's instinct, because whenever one of my siblings, except for John says that, it means that someone had let out the cheese, and it stinks. They would turn to look at me, even another sibling had done it."

Faolon snorted and smiled. "That's alright."

"I didn't even realize I said it."

"It's alright, Martha," he said. There was a laugh in his voice, and he shook his head.

I smiled at him, glad that he didn't care. "Well, are you ready to go?"

"Is it time?"

"Don't tell me that you are second guessing yourself."

"Well... kind of."

"Come on, Faolon. You can do this."

"Martha, it's been a week and..." He stopped and shook his head with sigh.

"And, you are the Alpha Male. You will be alright. They will understand why you haven't been around for a week."

"I'm not worried about myself, Martha. It's... you that I'm worried about."

"Don't be. I can take care of myself."

"But what about Randi..?"

"Randi is a big fat toad, and she can suck on one."

"Who's a big fat toad? You better not be talking about me," Lobo said, coming into the cave. He looked at me, a disapproving look on his face.

I looked at him in mocked horror. "I'm sorry, Lobo. I didn't know that you were a girl or Randi. Huh, I don't know where my head is today." I scratched my head, giving a confused look. I couldn't help but shake my head.

Faolon burst out laughing. He didn't say anything, because it was all so funny to him.

"Martha," Lobo warned. He glared at me, trying to make me feel intimidated, which didn't work.

"What? I was talking about our dear friend Randi."

"Then, why did you say that I was a girl?"

"Gosh, Lobo, can't you take a joke?"

"Are you ready?" Lobo asked, glancing Faolon. He ignored my comment, and there was a frown on his face.

Faolon looked at me. There was a frown on his face, because he didn't know if he was ready or not.

"Don't look at me. I said that you can go."

"Are you coming?"

I looked at my stuff that was in a neat pile. "Can I come back later to bring my stuff home, please?" I looked at Faolon, waiting for what he was going to say.
