Built On Trust

Surprise, world.

I stand backstage waiting nervously for Ellen to say my name. It feels like forever until she finally does and I walk on stage waving at the fans. We dance for a little, then sit down and she starts the interview.

"Thank you so much for coming today! How are you?"

"I'm good! Happy to see you, it's been a while."

"I just had Courteney Cox here the other day, I asked her if the Friends cast still talks and she said you two spend lots of time together."

"We do. Her Brad, David and I go out sometimes or Brad and I watch Coco for them. It's good practice."

"Speaking of practice and Coco, when do you think you and Brad will have a baby? The world needs Your kids."

"Well, actually, one should be here in about 5 months." I sit back in my seat a little and flatten my shirt, revealing my little bump. "I'm 4 months now."

"I really wasn't planning onthat answer! Congratulations to you and Brad, you'll be amazing parents!"

"Thank you so much! We're both so excited and couldn't be happier."

(I don't feel like writing the rest of the interview so I'm going to skip to right after.)

I walk off the stage and towards my dressing room to see Brad standing at the door where he is holding a boquet of my favorite flowers along with some candy "I thought I would surprise you. They let me leave set early."

Holding back tears of happiness, I walk over to him hugging him, then kissing him before I take the flowers "Thank you! I really didn't think you would be able to make it."

He opens the door and we walk in then he sits on the couch pulling me onto his lap "I tried my hardest to me here. I know how nervous you had to be earlier and I wanted to be here, but I couldn't but I hope being here now makes up for it."

"Of course it does, you didn't have to do this though, it must have been hard to get them to let you leave." I wrap my arms tightly around him "I hope you didn't get in trouble for leaving."

"Don't worry about it, you're more important." he stands up carrying me "We should get home." I try to get down so he doesn't have to carry me but he stops me "You aren't heavy, I think I can carry you." He takes me out, telling me he had his driver drop him off, so he puts me in the passenger seat saying he'll drive.

Once we get home, I'm greeted by my brother, sister in law, and neice who I haven't seen in almost a year. I walk right up to them, hugging them "I've missed you guys so much! And you," I point to El, "You need to stop getting so big."

She walks over to me, hugging me back, "I missed you too." she hands me a little bag and tells me to open "My mom told me to give it to you, it's for the baby."

Inside the bag is a teddy bear with a pink blanket attached to it "Thank you, sweetie, she's going to love this!" I make a point to smile at Shannon,and John, too.

Shannon walks over and hands me an inventation. She explains that It's for El's 6th birthday party in 2 weeks "We'd all love it if you guys could come, even if it's just for a few hours."

Brad looks at the date on the inventation then looks to see if we have anything going on that day, and we don't "We'll be there, it looks like it will be a fun party."

"Yeah, a bunch of kids hyped uo on cake and candy. It'll be a lot of fun." John jokes then looks at Brad and I "Actually, it isn't that bad."

Brad tells me to get ready, that we're all going out to eat and then that El is staying with us tonight, so John and Shannon can have a night out. He walks over to me as I'm about to put my necklace on, taking it and putting it on for me "You look beautiful."
