I'm gonna try to make it like Just Go With It, but not completely the same.
Today is the first day of filming with Adam. I love him like a brother and he's so fun to work with but I can't help worry about how Brad is with the girls. He's great when it's just one or two of them, but I'm not sure how he is with all three. I keep texting him to check in and he tells me I need to stop worrying and that they're all fine.
"If you miss them this much now what are you going to do when we're in Hawaii?" Adam jokes as he sees me looking at pictures of the girls I had Brad send me. He doesn't know I saw him looking at some of Sadie earlier.
I quickly turn my phone off and turn towards him so he isn't looking over my shoulder anymore "I'll bring them with." It then hits me we'd be flying with twins that are 2 months old "Or I'll just fly home every day."
"Have fun with that. Brad will be fine with them. Maybe you can bring Shay with and we'll bring Sadie." Adam suggests.
"That's a good idea, I'll talk to Brad about it." I walk to my trailer to read the rest of my lines for today and pass some time. We only have to film 2 more scenes before going to Hawaii for 2 weeks. I know 2 weeks is a long time to take Shay, but I think she would really like it and after a week maybe I could fly back with her and then have a week without her. Sometimes I wish I could just stay home with them all the time, but I love my job so much. Going back to the script I highlight my lines, going over them many times before I think I'm done. I make sure that I have everything done I need to then I go out to finish filming.
"Jen, you start standing at that line and walk next to Adam towards the car!" The director yells towards me. I do ad he says and Adam and I walk side by side towards the limo. My phone rings because my 'son' calls to complain about my daughter, and Brooklyn asks Adam why he hasn't told her about our kids. The two of them end up having a small meaningless argument and I try to leave. Adam volunteers my kids and I to meet her and against my will I agree to it.
We are given a 10 minute break before filming with the kids, Bailee, and Griffin. They're both so nice, and cute and awesome actors. I take this break as a chance to again text Brad, this time about taking Shay with out to Hawaii for a week. He's busy so he takes a while to text back, but when he does he says that he's fine with it. I go over to where Brooklyn and Bailee are standing waving at me so I can get my mind off of Brad and the girls.
"Hey! We were wondering if you wanted to do something when we're done." Brooklyn says welcoming me "I was gonna take Bailee shopping."
"That sounds like a lot of fun!" I look over at Bailee who looks like she's really excited "Have you been to any of the places around here?"
"Only the one that I went with you and Adam to shoot the shopping scene." She answers me.
"Then I guess we'll have to show you some of the others." I smile before going back so we can finish the last scene. I'm in a car pulling into a parking spot and Adam is already there waiting. The kids and I get out and we all walk together into the arcade. Michael, my son is overly excited because he loves these places, while Maggie, my daughter just wants to act. Michael runs right over to start playing the games when we get inside and Maggie follows him leaving Adam, and I alone with Brooklyn's character. Her bubbly personality stands out and Adam's jokes cause lots of laughter. Adam and Brooklyn sits next to each other while I'm across from them and Adam and I talk a little about our marriage, and why it's ending. We tell her we were drifting apart and my character had an affair, causing us to decide that it's better we split. We hate each other, but at the same will will always love each other for our children. The kids come and join us at the table and Adam goes to get all of us food. While he's gone, Michael tells Brooklyn how he's always wanted to go to Hawaii and that it would help him get over the divorce. Brooklyn, obviously wanting Michael to like her tells Adam when he gets back that we should all go together. Adam says no, but with both kids and Brooklyn begging he finally gives in and it's settled. We're all going to Hawaii.
We all get everything ready, then Brooklyn gets in her car and I get in mine with Bailee so I can take her home when we're done shopping. I throw some of the bags to the back seat making room for her "Sorry, I have some of the girls toys all laying around."
"It's okay, I have younger siblings." She gets in the car sitting next to me and looks at a picture I have of all of them "They're all so cute. How old are they?"
I look at the picture for a minute "In that picture the twins are days old and Shay is almost 2. Now, she's two and they're about 3 months old." I hand her my phone when we're at a red light "Here's some more of them."
She looks at a few more pictures until we get to some of the shops. I follow Brooklyn and park next to her then we all walk towards the store.
"Should we all meet somewhere, or should we stay together?" Brooklyn asks.
I look around at all the different people "One of us should probably stay with Bailee. It's really crowded." I find where the girl and juniors stuff is "I want to get some clothes for the girls so I guess I can since they're right next to each other."
Brooklyn follows us then walks directly across towards the woman's "I'll be here. This setup worked out pretty nice." She comments on how we're all close anyway.
I make sure I can see Bailee and start to look at some things for Shay. The twins already have all of her old clothes and more I bought so they don't really need any. I find some cute dresses that she would like and get 2 then I get some jean shorts and t-shirts for her. The hair and jewelry stuff is right there so I get her some dress up stuff that I know she'll like, then tell Bailee I'll be right across with Brooklyn.
I walk over and right away find some really cute clothes. Some shirts look nice so I go over and hold them up to look at them better then decide on the black one and the red one. I find the pants and get a few pairs of jeans, shorts, and some nicer pants then go over to the dresses. Brooklyn is looking at a black one with some little cut outs and I look at it a little closer then at her "That would look really good on you. You have the body for it."
She thanks me and gets it then holds up one next to it kinda similar "I think this would look really good on you."
I take it and look at it for a little then hold it up to me and put it back "Thanks, but maybe it will be better in a few more months, I need to lose more baby weight before wearing that." The dress next to it looks good too so I pick that one up. It's grey and about knee length and strapless. I find my size then put it with the rest of my stuff "I think I'll get this one."
"That's cute." She looks at it a little then goes back to getting some stuff for herself.
Bailee comes over a few minutes later with some stuff she wants and we get what all we want then decide were done. We take all of our stuff up to pay then say bye to each other. The next time we'll see each other is next week when we're in Hawaii. Bailee and I get in my car and I start to drive towards where she lives. We talk a little about her on the way home.
"How do you like being a child actor?" I ask her making sure I let her know that she's very good "I love how interested you seem in the work."
"It's a lot of fun so I like it. I really like that I get to work with people like you and Adam." She thinks for a while before saying anything else "I can't wait to go to Hawaii, I've never been there."
I think back to when Brad and I were there for our anniversary "It's beautiful. I went with Brad and it was one of my favorite trips. There's so much to see and do."
"I'm really starting to get excited." She says as we pull up to her house "Thanks for everything today."
"You're welcome, sweetie." I wait until she gets inside then drive home to Brad and the girls.
