Courteney and Lisa decided to throw me a baby shower, but they're using our house, so I know about it. They planned and invited everyone so all I have to do is help decorate a little.

I put on a light pink sundress and some flats then walk downstairs to where Brad is "Where are Court and Lisa?"

He finishes hanging up the sign he was working on and walks over to me "Lisa is getting the cake and I don't know where Court is. I think maybe in the kitchen."

I get some of the balloons laying on the floor and tie them together then hang them on the banister "I'm gonna go look for her to see what else she wants me to do." I walk into the kitchen with no luck then I find her on the deck with Coco "Hey, everything looks nice inside so far."

She let's Coco craw around in the grass for a little "Thanks, I was thinking maybe we could have it mostly out here and just do presents inside."

"That's a good idea." I help her with a table "Brad said he's almost done with what he's doing."

"People should be getting here any minute, I hope the rest is done." She picks up Coco and walks inside "It's going to be fun."

Lisa gets back with the cake and shortly after some family members and friends arrive. They all talk for a while and Brad and I make our way around thanking everyone for coming, then Court and Lisa start some games. I hold Coco since she's trying to craw around and Court is busy.

El sits next to me playing with the toys she brought with "When do we eat?"

"I don't know, but I'm hungry. There's snacks, but they're inside." I get up and she follows me over to the snack table "Do you want chips or pretzels?"

"Pretzels!" She holds the plate and I get a few handfuls with my free hand then we walk back.

"Make sure the dogs don't get the food." I tell her as I take a few and break a little piece off for Coco "We should be eating the cake soon."

They do another game and this one I'm actually involved in. The guests have to guess different prices of common items and I read off what the actual price is. (I don't really know the prices so I'm going to skip that part.) The next once Brad and I take a little survey/quiz together about who is more likely to do what, and our guests do the same filling it out with the answer him, her or both. To see who wins Brad and I read out the question and if we chose me I read that question and if it was him he reads. Lisa ends up winning that one, and we give her a jar of Hershey kisses as her prize.

I start to open the presents as everyone else is eating the cake. As I open the gifts Lisa writes down who gave what and Courteney saves the bows to use as a craft we are doing later. Most of my friends get me diapers and little toys, and our parents get blankets and toys. I thank each person for what they got and we move on to where we make headbands with the bows.

Court gives the directions while Lisa gives everyone and pink or purple headband, a bow with a clip and a bow from the presents then we start to make them.

Brad sits with me and keep pinching his finger with the clip every time he tries to put it on the band "You're in charge of all of this. I don't want to lose my finger trying to do her hair."

I take it from him and put it where he was trying to then give it back "Don't worry, you'll get better."

He takes the silver bow from a present, undoes it so it's just a long strand and puts it through the loops of the headband to make it look nice "I think mine is the best. No body else did the bow thing."

"Yeah, but everyone else was able to get the clip on without hurting themself." I show him how I did mine similar to his "They're both cute."

"So, do I have to take all of these upstairs?" He points to the pile of presents "I think she already has more stuff than me."

I laugh at how 'excited' he sounds about it and decide what I want him to do "Keep at least one pack of new born diapers and wipes downstairs so that we have them and a blanket or two but otherwise everything goes up." I pick up Coco again when she craws over to me and put my headband on her "You can be a little model."

Brad takes her from me and starts playing with her "I want her. She already sleeps a lot and she likes me. Do you think Court and David will take ours?" He laughs at himself "Or maybe we can just keep her and ours."

"You're funny, babe. I don't think you want 2 right away. Maybe in a few years." I take the headband off Coco and give it to Lisa as she collects them, then say bye to the guests as they leave.

Shannon and El walk up to me and Shannon hands me another box "These are all the cards, I didn't know if you wanted to keep them."

I get up and hand the box to Brad "Thanks! I might make something out of them." I lean down towards El "Thanks for coming sweetie."

"You're welcome!" She goes over and plays with Coco for a while until Shannon is ready to leave.

After everyone leaves Brad is working on carrying things upstairs while I sit on the couch relaxing and looking closer at some of the stuff we got. We now really have almost everything we need and have her room completely ready and all we need is to wait a little more than a month for her.

I know this wasn't the best part and honestly I'm not very proud of it, but I didn't really know how to go about writing it. Also, I know I kinda skipped through Jen's pregnancy in random ways but as of this part she's about 7-1/2 months. ~Mari :)
