i'd been numb for so long
i forgot how to feel
the days faded into each other
and i felt nothing
i was nothing

i'd hurt myself to feel again
pain was better than nothing
it's all i had

a soul passed my way
and i did a double take

it was like mine
a bit unwoven at the edges
but still beautiful

i followed it to a cliff
and then it jumped

i rushed after it without a second thought
i soared down into the abyss
when suddenly
the beautiful soul embraced me

our energies burst together
and i could feel again

we were tumbling so fast and so hard
but i didn't care one bit

because when two lost souls find each other
everything is bliss

and as we continued to fall deeper and deeper
my beaten soul began to breathe again
