I walk into the room

I am no longer afraid of the Night
See the Night and I've become friends
He whispers in my ear

I look him in the eyes
He gives me an enchanting glance
I take his hand
He leads me away
To a far off place
In the back of my mind
This world's one of a kind
It wasn't that hard to find
It has been here all along
Hidden away

The Night draws near
He says close your eyes
Listen with your ears
To the sound of the drum
The heartbeat you mean?
No the drum
The drum of the Sun
The retched Sun
The Sun will be undone
We will kill it for fun
Don't trust the Sun
The Sun makes you smile
But only for awhile
Soon you'll come running back to me
The Night
Do not fear the Night
For I am the Night
And I will always be here
