Have you ever failed at avoiding someone?

(if you read the cure to katsuki then you might remember the English project for mic that they never turned in because I forgot about it lol) (this story feels like a mxmtoon song for some reason)

"Alright class, you have a partner project due two days from now. It's a three page essay on what both of you learned in this class. Your partners are on the board." Aizawa announced, stepping away from the chalkboard.

Everybody either shrieked in excitement or cried in disappointment. This list was either lucky or unlucky. Brutal or merciful.

"Woo! I get the babe!" Jirou laughed, clapping her hands happily. Both her ear jacks spindling upwards into the air. Momo smiled.

Bakugou scanned the board, looking for his name. His eyes finally reached the seven letter word and they widened. Bakugou Katsuki + Todoroki Shoto is what it read. Then the worst of the worst happened.

Todoroki appeared right in front of him. He probably wanted to start the project with the time they had. "Bakugou, would you like to start working? If not we can start later." Todoroki asked. Well shit, it wasn't like Bakugou could say no.

"..Yeah, whatever Icyhot." Bakugou mumbled, standing up from his seat. He looked around, seeing all his classmates sitting around either on desks or laying on the floor and talking.

Sitting crosslegged on the floor Bakugou waited for Todoroki to get everything they needed to start working. He watched keenly as Todoroki rummaged around in his desk. The slight smile he put on while opening a pencil case, or how he was so desperate to fully zip it again. Stuff like that started making a real difference.

"Bakugou, you've been staring at me for some time now.." Todoroki awkwardly pointed out, sitting the kitty cat pencils in front of them along with a few sheets of paper. "Are you even breathing?" Todoroki chuckled, sitting down finally.

"I-I'm fine! Just the idea of you makes me sick anyway, why would I stare?" Bakugou dismissed, beginning to write without him. Well, that was fuck up number one. He should've just said he was fine. It wasn't like he had a chance in the first place, Todoroki deserved someone better.

~~The next evening~~

Bakugou was working with Todoroki in his dorm. He'd been in Todoroki's dorm before but this time felt different, it was like writing an essay on Cloud 9. He just hoped Todoroki wouldn't bring up last week.

"So..about what you said at my rescue.." Todoroki muttered, changing the subject from Hero Studies. Bakugou mentally slapped himself, he jinxed himself so hard. "Did you really want to kiss me?" Todoroki nervously asked.

Bakugou took a deep breath, it's better to be honest, right? "Yeah..I did! What about it?" Bakugou admitted. Todoroki scooted over so their shoulders were touching.

"Still up for the offer?" He asked, using his leg to kick their working supplies out of the way. Bakugou being the dumbass he was, nodded.

~~With Mic and Aizawa~~

The two teachers had been watching romcoms for about four hours, just relaxing to get away from their students. "Hey, Hizashi, do you think it was a good idea to put Todoroki and Bakugou together?" Aizawa asked Mic.

"Yep! They always glance at each other in my class, then look away all flustered. They've got the hots babe. Besides, if they start dating you owe me money!" Mic laughed, stroking Aizawa's hair.

"Yeah, okay then. We made that bet a whole year ago, you really think you're getting that twenty?" Aizawa joked.

"I think I am." Mic declared, closing his eyes. He heard Aizawa sigh from underneath him. He was pretty sure he'd get that money.

(next chapter will probably be 'Have you ever kissed someone?' cause I'm not creative with these titles. Also were gonna get more bitchy uraraka in here, just like what I did with kirishima in TCTK hah)
