Tris's POV
Currently the four of us, Peter, Caleb, Tobias and myself are in the Amity compound with the remaining Abnegation, after the attack that the Erudite and Dauntless had done. I cannot forgive myself for what happened during the attack, my parents had both died saving me, and I shot Will. The name is almost like venom in my mouth, I cannot see myself as the small Abnegation girl anymore. Tobias doesn't even know what I had done, no one knows the only one who knew was my mother Natalie. The only Abnegation leader left is the tyrant of Tobias's past, Marcus Eaton who has gotten along well with Johanna Reyes, I am curious to know why they are so close. I am pulled out of my thoughts by Tobias who is playing with the Amity and Abnegation children.
"Tris, We need to talk about where we will go when it is time, we cannot stay here long." Tobias spoke in a hushed voice.
I almost want to tell him we have nothing to worry about but we do, the Erudite are still looking for us along side with the Dauntless, not the loyal ones, the traitors. It seems like everything is spiraling downward.
"We can talk later Four, let's just enjoy this peace and quiet before we have to run for our lives." I spoke with a monotone voice.
"Who are you and what have you done with my girlfriend" He said with a chuckle.
Before I could even respond Caleb comes out of nowhere and opens his mouth, "Girlfriend? I don't appreciate the thought of you dating my little-"
Tobias had cut Caleb off, "She isn't your little anything!" He snapped.
I looked at the two before my eyes had soften when I glanced at Caleb, the one who didn't believe when I went to go see him in Erudite headquarters.
Flashback
"Beatrice what are you doing here?" Caleb said
"I'm not gonna make it in Dauntless, I'm not like them." I said in a worried tone about the information I had just learned.
"I mean who is their crazy." Caleb said with a slight chuckle
I sighed softly "Maybe I can go back to Abnegation."
"They aren't going to let that happen Beatrice." He spoke with an almost defining tone.
"Who is they?" I asked curiously
"Erudite, they are not gonna let Abnegation break anymore rules, Erudite should be in charge definitely not Abnegation." He spoke with such disgust in his tone.
"Caleb how can say that! The Erudite are manipulating you to believe what they say. That's our home!"
"Beatrice I think it's time you go." Caleb spoke with a saddened tone.
"Yeah no you are right. Faction before Blood. yeah?" I said with an almost enraged tone with what he had said about Abnegation and the lies the Erudite are feeding him . I looked at Caleb one last time before storming off.
Flashback Over.
I am pulled out of my thoughts once more by the sound of Erudite/Dauntless Traitors bursting through the Amity compound in their "high-tech" carts. Everyone, even the children had this deer in the headlights look. I felt this lump in my throat, almost suffocating me. I glanced at Tobias and then the woman next to me. I mumbled to her to have the children play tag so they aren't as well stiff.
We see Eric, that poisonous man, head toward Johanna. They seem to be murmuring something, but I cannot tell what.
