Katniss's POV
I look down at my brown leather hunting boots, as well as my father's hunting jacket as I make my way through the Seam. I occasionally wave at dwellers I once knew as I trek my way to my old house. I know my mother needed some herbs, a few items of my father's as well as the most hideous cat out there, Buttercup. Buttercup belonged to Prim, she's convinced that his muddy yellow coat match the prestigious flower. Once I walked inside my old home, I began to grab and stuff my hunting bag with some of my mother's remedies, as well as a few of my dad's valuables. I paused as I heard a hissing sound coming from the corner of the room. My grey eyes drift off towards the source of the sound being met with the ugly cat.
"You are such an ugly cat," I murmured, in response the feline nudges my boot with his head as a sign that he wanted to be petted. I crouch down and rub the cats head, just behind the ears like Prim does. The cat purred softly, as he nuzzled into my touch. I remember the cat use to hate me since I tried to drown the sucker, but then forgave me since I started feeding him the entrails of the rats. I feel as if we have bonded over our times together as well as the hatred of our new home in the Victor's Village. I sigh softly before scooping the cat into my arms just before I walk out the door I hear some noises, the floor creaking means that I am not alone. I hear the floorboards creak at least a few more times before dropping the cat and I took my bow out that was slung across my shoulder and pulled back an arrow from the sheath. I drew the arrow back as I cautiously walked through the house. I hear a clatter in one our the rooms in the house as I make my way over to where the sound was coming from. That's when I say the flash of the figures. There seemed to be roughly 9 people. I caught a glimpse of what seems like a girl, roughly my age with short blonde hair dressed in a mixture of red and yellow clothing, I saw what looked like ink on her shoulder. My first thought that runs through my mind are the Capital people ransacking my old home to find anything of value that they can blackmail me with. I take a deep breath before letting my arrow fly as it hit the door frame. I was about to draw another arrow just as one of the nine people, turned to face me with a an object smaller than the ones the peacemaker's use. His dark blue eyes met my grey ones, we stood there just staring at each other.

I definitely got some strange looks as I pass the Seam and towards the cobblestone walkway that leads towards the Victor's Village. The people that were at my old house straggling behind me as I had Buttercup in my arms. And to my shock he was calm.
(A/N~ I will be explaining what had happened in the house in the next chapter or so! Hope you're enjoying so far❤️)
