chapter 4

We walk onto the field and I abandon Christian to run over to Lo.
"Hey merlot didn't expect to see you so soon, " Lo says giving me a side hug. I scoff at the nickname. He was the only person who called me that and I hadn't heard it in years.
"Merlot?" Christian says narrowing his brows confused. I put my head in my hands and whisper 'oh no' to myself.
"So it was her 21st birthday and all she wanted to do was get drunk. It was about 10 of us and we bought out this place to party all night. She grabbed a bottle of merlot and a glass. Took the glass and chucked it at the wall and chugged the merlot. I mean it was crazy she took it all down like it was nothing." he's says laughing grabbing Christians shoulder to hold himself up.
"You should have seen her chug those beers, " Christian starts in I put my hand up stopping them.
"Can you two please stop making me seem like a grade a alcoholic, " I say rubbing my temple wishing I had a beer.
  "Wait isn't your birthday in July merlot, " Lo says putting his hand on my back. I give him a look as to say shut up.
   "Yeah, July 17th I'll be 26," I say smiling at Lo seeing that he got the message I was sending.
   "Well how about we go out and celebrate like we use too," Lo says rubbing my back pulling me into a side hug.
"I'd like that, " I say hugging him back.
"Hey Christian, " I see a girl with short blond hair standing about 20 feet away waving to us.

She was pretty and dressed nice so I assumed it was someone here to do some pre-game talking. Me and Lo went on talking about what kinda stuff we can do that night.
"Damn I thought he got rid of her, " I turn to see Ryan walk up beside Lo. My eyes get mid I as I stare at him.
“Oh my God your Ryan braun,” I say smiling loosing breath. Lo laughs at my excitement and I watch as Ryan reaches his hand out to mine. I scream to my self internally at the fact that I just shook the hand of the man I idolized for years.
"Wait what do you mean 'get rid of her', " I say pulling myself back into reality.
"Oh yeah that's ciara they were on and off for a few months now. By the way she's looking at him I'm guessing there back on, " I look at her seeing the way she looked the way her eyes bounced off his. That was a look you only gave to the people you cared about. I feel the blood drain from my face and put my head down wondering how I could be so stupid. Stupid to think someone like Christian yelich could mean what he says to someone like me.
"Oh God were you, oh God I'm sorry" I look up to see braun looking back and forth between Christian and I.
“No she's here with me,” Lo says pulling me into him. I could feel the serotonin fill my brain as he did that. Nothing could compete with a Lo hug. They were so warm and just held you so tightly. I tell Ryan it was great meeting him and he hugs me rubbing my back. I wall up the small steps to find my seat. I sit down for a second and soon get up to go get a beer.

I watch Lo hit a double smiling and cheering. Christian walks up and turns to me smiling. I put my head down not wanting to make eye contact with him.
"Holy shit he smiled at us, " I can hear the girls beside me get excited. 'Don't get ur hopes up' I whisper to myself sipping my drink. I look down at my phone seeing a message from Lo telling me to come to the club house after the game. I jump out of my seat as cain catches a would of been homerun.
   "HELL YEAH, " I scream then turn getting a high five from the girl beside me. I go to sip my drink getting nothing so I head back to the car for another.
“Hey your the girl C was taking too,” I turn to my right to see the girl ciara from earlier. I can't lie she's beautiful, natural and perfect. She was a lot rpettier then I could ever be.
“Hi yeah I'm astrid,” I say biting my cheek trying not to scream.
“Im Ciara, so you enjoying the game, ” She ask trying to make small talk.
“Yeah but I need a drink,” I say holding my drink up.
“Well I just wanted to say hi anyone who a friend a C is a friend of mine,” She says putting her hand on my shoulder. I shrug it off and step back.
‘‘Well I need to go back nice meeting you,’’ I say practically running away.

Game ends with brewers winning 3-1 I head up to the club house throwing my cups away picking up a few as I walked. I wave to braun as he walks out and stand outside the door waiting for Lo. I lean against it hearing two people argue.
“Come on Lo you gotta let me explain myself,” I hear Christian say.
“Explain what, you don't bring a girl hear then not have completely ended things with the other. That's not respectable to any kind of person. Especially not Astrid, God you should of seen her face. She doesn't deserve to be hurt anymore. I was happy when I saw that you two where together I thought finally someone to the her like she deserves. She's fought hard enough don't think I will ever let her fight for you. I care about you but I almost watched that girl die. So if you ever want something with her you gotta be ready to be with her, make her happy, help her. She's too good to get hurt I again. ” My throat gets tight and I feel tears form as I listen to the words Lorenzo says. I watch him walk out and stop as he sees my face. I then watch ciara walk into the club not acknowledging us.
“GET OUT I DONT WANT YOU HERE,” I hear Christian yell making me jump.
“Come on C you don't mean it you know you dont”
"Yes I do ciara I don't wanna be with you I'm sorry. Don't come back ok, "
"God I wouldn't even if you begged, " she storms off. I watch Christian walk out and stop staring at me. I smile to Lo nodding my head to tell him to go.

“I didn't know she would be here I would never intentionally hurt you like that, ” He putt his head down taking a deep breath.
"I know, " I say walking toward him grabbing his hand. He looks at me and smiles.
"Man you must have some kind of powers, I've known you less then a week and I'm ready to run across the world for you, " He says smiling pulling me into him.
"I don't know guess I'm just good, " I laugh looking up into his eyes. He leans down kissing me and I feel my entire body get hot. He grabs my cheeks and I wrap my arms around him.
“Man I don't wanna let you go,” He says pulling away for a second then returning. I pull off and grab his hand pulling him with me.
"Faster we get home faster we can continue this, " I turn around and see him blush.

We walk in and both run up the stairs we fall onto the beside each other and laugh. I unbutton my shirt and pull off my pants standing there watching Christian stare at me trying to pull it all in.
“Wow your body is wow, " He says loosing his words. I walk over and sit on his lap straddling him.
