(I'm so sorry for taking 5 days to update my mom came and visited me so I've been busy but I got to see my lil dog bub so oops. And this won't be that good cause I got build into what gonna happen.)

For weeks I felt like my air was stuffy and I couldn't get a clean breath. But when I and Christian both ended everything realizing we needed to so we could be happy the air got so clear. Hearing his name was no longer making my heart fill, seeing his face on the brewer's instagram wasn't making my blood run hot. He wasn't having that effect on me anymore, I was able to watch Brewers vs Astros game and not feel my breathing get tight every time he smiled.
"I think this is all I got, " Cody brought in his laundry basket sitting it on the floor beside me. I dumped the clothes into the wash and threw in some detergent and fabric softener.
"I gotta go do my make up, when then goes off but they in the dryer please," I say pressing the start button raising my voice over the washing machine.
"Wow, I can't believe my little girl is going on a date just yesterday I was teaching you how to hit, " Cody fake cries sniffling.
"Will you shut up, " I start laughing grabbing a bottle of Advil and throwing it at him.
"I'm just messing, I might be more excited than you. You're going on a date WITH A BOY, "
"Jesus Christ, " I huff rolling my eyes. I went shopping earlier that week cause I needed some new earring. Somehow Cody pushed his way into my plans and he convinced me to buy whole new outfit shoes and all. My life was honestly a fucking wild ride. A year ago I was struggling to pass school and now some nights I sit on the couch watching A series of unfortunate events drinking red wine with Cody Bellinger. But I'm happy crazy to admit with all the bull shit I've been through I am.

"So?" I pose in front of Cody showing him the full outfit for the first time.
"Wow you look beautiful, my daughters all grown up. " Cody sniffles making himself laugh.

	"Thank you, dad

"Thank you, dad." I smiling giving in and giggling.
"So are you meeting or his he picking you up, "
"He-" I start to talk then get interrupted by a soft knock at the door. I practically skip over opening the door. I feel my cheeks as my eye light up along with his smile.
"Hi, August."
"Hello Astrid, are you ready?" he raises his brows and smirks scanning me up and down.
"Yeah, but first we need to talk, " Cody walks up behind pulling the door open all the way. I watch as Augustus' eyes go from lust to shock staring at Cody.
"Oh my god, " I reach my hand up and hold my head rolling my eyes.
"Yeah so this is my best friend and I care a lot about her so you treat her right and with respect, or I will break your pinky, " Cody says joking putting his arm around me.
"Of course, she's in good hands." I pull out of Cody's arm and spin into the hallway I grab Augustus hand and pull him with me.
"Ok buy Cody ill see you later good luck tonight, te amo."
"Wow, I can't believe you live with Cody Bellinger, "
"Yeah, it's not all that he's kinda messy, he doesn't know how to use a coaster."

I could barely eat I was so happy having conversations with him. He was more perfect than perfect. He studied abroad in Germany in high school, he loved musicals and had a cat name July. I was just melting into his every word he said. I tried to tell him as much as I could without saying too much. I felt so ethereal at that moment just staring into his eyes. He smiled back reaching his hand under the table grabbing mine.
"Hey the Dodger game starts at 9:50 so there's
"We could leave now and just go, cause well I am friends with the entire team." I lean forward whispering making him laugh.

I walk up the small set of stairs into the dugout greeted by Clayton Kershaw who was getting a cup of water. I waved at him pulling August onto the field letting him admire everything. I didn't even realize till I felt the tug I was holding his hand. I didn't even know when I grabbed it our hand just drifted together naturally.
"Wow this is crazy, " His eyes like up and I smile at his childlike happiness.
"Well, who the h-e double fuck are you, " We both snap out of the moment we were sharing to see Alex staring at our hands on his hips.
"This is my date August, "
"Yeah he took our daughter out, " Cody walks up beside him. I roll my eyes and scoff.
"Oh really- wait our?" Alex says making us all laugh.
"Jesus Christ I'm older then both of you if anything you're my kids."
"Well be careful with our mom, " Alex jokes raising his finger to August. I pull august away and to my favorite on the field. It was perfect I would just lay there for as long as possible, the score bored perfectly blocker the sun and I could get a cool breeze from the fans once in a while.

"Wow your so lucky Astrid, " He propped himself up beside me.
"Yeah I am, these guys are the best."
"They seem to like you a lot. Just like I do, " My cheeks turn red and I let a smile work its way onto my lips. I sit up and let the only sound be our breathing and the music that was filling the speakers. The cold breezes rushed by and that exact moment he leaned forward pressing his lips to mine. I melted into the kiss feeling him reach his hand up to cup my face. I jumped out of it as a ball landed right behind me hitting a wall.
"GET A ROOM, " I looked to see Alex watching us from the bp cage. We looked at each other laughing. I stood up and started to unbuckle my wedges holding them in my hand.
"What are you doing, " August looks at me confused laughing.
"Lets race, " He jumps up getting in position. "1…2…3" I run him trailing behind a bit. I run past Cody high-fiving him wincing at the pain since it was my bad hand.
"Damn ur fast, " August huff's putting his hand on his knees. I jogged into the lineup grabbing two cups of water.

We walked up to the steps and to our seats waiting for the game to start. I didn't even focus on anything that was happening I almost missed the pledge cause all I could focus on was August. His smile made my heart rate speed up and his laugh made the serotonin in my brain fill my soul. He was so perfect to the point it felt fake. I hadn't felt like this towards someone since… since Mikey, of course, my mind was rushing through everything I went through and how this could be the same situation. But I want to believe the universe wouldn't put me through that again. That was can't a test, a step to get me to who I am today. August didn't seem to have the heart to do that. No one who smiled like that could hurt me.
