We both woke up a little after 9:30 the game was at 1:30 so we need to be in the field by 10:00. We hoped in the shower together not trying anything like we usually would since we were both exhausted. I threw on a short blue dress and simple jewelry it was, low effort but cute.

Christian threw on his normal baseball pants and a t-shirt. I didn't bother grabbing something to eat since I knew there was something at the concessions I liked.

We walked onto the field sun beaming down. I put my hand up covering my eyes but soon felt Christians hat come down over my head. I smiled looking up at him the sun creating a cascading light and him a dark shadowy figure.
"I gotta go hit a few balls just go up to the conversion and give them my name, " He wrapped his arm around pulling me into him lifting the hat to give me a kiss on the forehead pushing it back down. I turned around heart fluttering to see a smiling Lo and Ryan.
"Man Astrid you really did something to that boy, " Ryan says crossing his arms.
"Yeah all he could do was talk about how he wanted to get back to you, " Lo walks forward a step to give me a hug. I blush thinking about Christian missing me just as much as I missed him.
"Well don't even kid yourself you missed me too, " I say laughing giving Ryan a slight shove.
"Ryan comes here real quick, " I turn around to see Craig motioning in our direction and Ryan soon running to his. I was left alone with a happy Lo just absorbing the happiness I was rating.
"You're happy again, I like that," I can't help but smile. He was right it had been forever since I was happy. Happy to just exist at all honestly.

We stood there talking for a good 10 minutes just about the stuff we hadn't said before. I could feel my body getting weak from the sun beating down on my back. Lo's words started going in and out, so did my vision.
"Damn Astrid you don't look good, " as his words came out I feel to the ground catching my self on my wrist. I fell hard.
"Have you eaten today you know how your blood sugar levels get when you don't especially in this heat, " He dropped to one knee fanning me trying to unscrew the water that was in his back pocket.
"Uh um no I forgot, " I barely got the words as my wrist started to sting and my vision continued to go weary.
"SOMEONE GET ME A SODA, " Lo yelled out cause my head to throb even more then it was.
"Oh shit is she ok, " I heard the words fade in as Christian dropped beside me unscrewing a coke. He held the bottle up to me helping me drink half the bottle. Once I could feel my vision go straight I grabbed the bottle and chugged the rest.
"She's gonna be fine, " Lo got the tough big brother voice he always used when it came to me. I put my hand on his watching his shoulders relax. I moved myself to where I was sitting crisscross but as I did I felt a stinging in my wrist.
"Ah fuck, " I winced grabbing my wrist with my hand. "I think I hurt my wrist," I said stupidly as my already swollen red limb.
"Here let me take you up the doctor." I tried wrapping my head around the quick moving situation but before I could I felt an arm wrap around my legs and the other cradling my back. Man, this felt good him just carrying me I wanted to nuzzle into his chest and fall asleep. Before I knew it was being set down on one of those beds you only see when you have a checkup.
"She hurt her wrist and just had a dizzy spell, " Christian says pulling the chair closer to the bed.
"What is your name and age, " the doctor did everything so fast shining the light in my eyes feeling my lymph nodes, all before I got a word out.
"Astrid Star Murray, I'm 25," I take a deep breath and shake with chills as the doctor checks my heart. I look at Christian smiling confused mouthing
"Star?" I shoot him a look and he covers his mouth subsiding his laughter.
"I've had low blood sugar all my life, I forgot to eat today which I know I shouldn't but life moves fast, " I go straight saying what I need to. I've done it 10 million times I would try and get out of the house before Mikey woke up and forget to eat ending back in the hospital being told I need to remember to eat. Same old same old.
"Well let's take a look at this wrist, " I weakly held my wrist up trying to hide how much it hurt not wanting to give into the worry Christian had so obviously on his face.
"It's just sprained. I'll bandage it up and in about 2 weeks it'll be back to normal, " I breathed and a sign of relief and watch Christian do the same.

I looked at my wrist I had broken it when I was 15 and was scared I somehow broke it again. I went to stand up and walk out when I was pulled back and up by to arms.
"Woah, what are you doing, " I turn my head to look at him only inches from his face.
"Oh what kind of boyfriend would I be letting my injured girlfriend walk, " I smiled at the label, man there was a label for what we had.
"I hurt my wrist not my ankle. I can walk, "
"I know but this way I can hold your butt, " I laugh then tense up feeling his hand move down. As he carried me down the hall I just stared at him his eyes were looking forward but mine weren't leaving him. Boyfriend and girlfriend, it was childish of me excited by something like that but it made my heart swoon and my cheeks redden at the thought.

I walk up to the concessions as the game falls into the bottom of the 4th. I pick up my phone seeing Christian had posted a picture I took last week when we got a room at a hotel just so we could use the pool and spa. 'Guess I found the luckiest girl alive.' I laughed at the comment. I was the luckiest girl alive finally everything was working.

The game ended with brewers winning 6-5 Christian getting a homer at the bottom of the 11th winning the game. I smiled watching his eyes immediately connect with mine and his smile grow bigger. Then soon his face turning to shock and mine to dying laughter as he was drenched in Gatorade. I sat in the stand waiting for him to finish his after the game interview as the people who were trying to best the traffic shuffled out. I looked out to see Lo motioning me onto the field.
"So how long you got to live, " He wraps his arm around me looking at my wrist.
"Idk I'd say a good two weeks before I kick more than just a bucket, " we both break out into laughter but I soon falter into a scream as two cold wet arms lift me off my feet.
"aw hell C now I'm sticky, " I say scrunching my nose turning to him to receive a kiss I was desperately wanting.
"Hey, Astrid can I ask you something real quick, " I turn to my left to see Ryans wife Larisa walking towards me. I reluctantly pulled away from Christians hold.
"Hi what's up, " we trailed off into a conversation about life and upcoming events that's I might want to take place in with me being a new member of the wives and girlfriends club. But I couldn't help but here the conversation Lo and C were having.

"Thank you, "
"For what saving your ass when you missed that catch, " I could hear the sarcasm in Christians voice.
"That's too but for making Astrid happy, she smiles with you means its a genuinely happy smile. I haven't seen one of those on her in a while, " my heart melted at the words Lo spilled.
"I care about her a lot and she makes me happy, she truly does, " my heart just swooned at the words C said. I made him happy, I made him truly happy. I couldn't even focus on the words Larissa was saying.
"Well hope ill see you again soon, "
"Same here it was so great talking to you, " I say spinning around to Connect eyes with Christian undeniable love and happiness in my eyes. It was just us two standing there you could feel the love we were putting off towards each other it was so strong.
I walked over to him wrapping my arms around him.
''You make me truly happy,'' I say looking into his soft sparkling brown eyes he had the same look of love I knew I did.
