I pulled away from him our eyes still connected my face was blank but he has a smiling working it's way onto his.
"I missed you, " I pull a half a smile as his words hit hard. I knew I couldn't look him in the eyes and say this. I throw my head back staring at the ceiling
"I need you to leave, " I take a deep breath and pull away but he quickly pulls me back making where I can help but look him in the eyes. "Why did you have to come why couldn't you just call, "
"I did, twice but after I called you the last time and Cody answered." I look at him confused grabbing my phone.
"No, you didn't Cody had my phone all day and I checked my calls after I only have those scam calls and 1 from my dad." I pull my recent calls and show him.
"Look, " He pulls out his and shows me the two calls one unanswered one answered that only last 26 seconds.
"I can't believe him, " stare at my phone and the two calls where they should be. "He deleted the calls, he didn't even tell me you called " I scoff falling onto the couch. God, I'm gonna kill him. "I still want you to leave, we can talk about this later ill call you." I stand up walking to the door.
"Ok, ok I can do with that." He leans down to kiss me and I turn my head giving him my cheek. I go to turn in and close the door but see him turn around. "I just, I can leave without knowing, " He takes a deep breath and runs his fingers through his hair. "Do you still love me, "
"Of course, " I say it all in one breath closing the door. I grab my phone and quickly call Cody.
"Come home, " I try not to sound mad but listening to myself I sounded pissed.

"What happen, are you ok." Cody walks in immediately starting in on the questions but he wasn't gonna get any answers, not yet.
"Why did you delete the calls, " his head drops and he mouths the word shit.
"I didn't want him to hurt you again, I didn't think he would come here."
"You had no right to do that, you could have mentioned it was him, "
"I know and I'm sorry, but it was killing me to watch you every day for 2 weeks want to kill yourself. I finally, I finally had you back." I smile and take a seat on the couch and he joins me. We just stare at the wall for a second letting the silence surround us. I lay my head on his shoulder and let out a deep sigh.
"I understand, "
"So what happen, "
"He told me loved me and needed me... We kissed."
"WHAT!" He gasps jerking away and standing up.
"Yeah, go get me a towel so I can clean up this beer," he rolls his walking to go grab one. I pick up the chards feeling one cut across my palm. 
   "Aw shit," I grab my hand dropping the other glass.     
   "Cody" I stare down at my hand the was now gushing blood before my vision goes weary and then everything goes black.

I blink my eyes looking down at my hand now wrapped up and IV coming out of my arm.     
   "Cody," I cough the words out turning over to see whoever was sitting in the chair. 
 "Hey no, he's going to get some skittles." I watch Christian move over to the bed and put his hand on my leg. I smile and feel my heart get full. There was no one else I would wanna wake up to.                                                                                                                                "How did you know I was here?" I knew how Cody felt towards Christian and unless I needed a kidney he wasn't gonna call him.          
  "You had me down as your emergency contact and since Cody is just a friend they had to call me." of course I did. I changed all my info from Austin to him. I loved Austin but I sure as hell didn't trust him in an emergency so once I met Christian I switched it over.
    "They said the look of blood must have made you pass out." I chuckle look my hand rubbing the bandage with my other hand.
   "I'll go get the nurse,"   
   "wait, I want you to know and understand I love you. I really do and I care about you and I need you." I watch his eyes fill with happiness and my heart fills with the same amount. "but we have to end this, in all ways and forms. I want to be your friend but I know that means I won't be able to let you go." I take a deep sigh as his eyes drain away.
   "I need to let us go to be truly happy, and you need to do the same."             
   "I hate to admit it but you right," He leans in cupping his hand to my cheek hanging inches away from me before leaning in and kissing me. "I love you, Astrid."                                                      
   "I love you too Christian," I watch him walk away and this time he doesn't turn back.         
   "so that's it," Cody turns in the room pulling the chair closer to the bed.           "yeah," I choke on the words as my eyes fill with tears. Cody gets up walking across the room laying on the bed cuddling me. I just fall apart as he wraps his arm around me.               
   "its ok, its gonna be ok." he reaches for my good hand giving at squeeze.
