*same day as the last chapter Astrid pov*

"Astrid come on, " I laid in the bed staring at Cody emotionless, he was sitting on the floor holding food ready to give up on the last hour he had spent trying to make me eat. "Fuck it you're not laying here forever and I'm not gonna watch you cry again, " he pulls my phone off the charger powering it off picking up my computer and carrying it away. "You've barely eaten this week I've only seen you up to pee and shower, " he pulls the covers off of me opening the closet grabbing a pair of jeans and t-shirt throwing it on the bed then sifting through the draw for a pair of underwear and a bra.
"Cody stop, " I mumble sitting up to try and persuade him to let me soak in sorrows.
"No Astrid get your ass up and shower then put those clothes on were going out, I don't know what we're doing but I'm not letting this go on any longer damn it."

I stumble out of the bed and into the shower realizing I wasn't gonna win this argument no matter how hard I tried. I stood in the shower letting the hot water hit my back and the tears form. Falling out of my eyes hitting the shower floor blending in with the water. He was right I needed to get my ass out of bed. Since that night I had done nothing but lay there and cry eating and drinking just cause Cody forced me. I turned the water off and stepped out looking at myself in the steamed mirror. I didn't even recognize my own reflection. Who the hell is that look at me, oh yeah that's you dumbass? I don't even bother with makeup or hair just throwing it up in a bun. I grab a pair of socks and put my shoes on wait for Cody to come and take me to where ever he was planning too.
"Let's go daddio, " he sings grinning opening the door motioning for me to walk out. I lazily get up walking into the hall waiting for him to lock the door. "Your gonna have a no technology day but I do have your phone just in case your dad calls. We're gonna have fun and smile, " He pushes the corners of my mouth up making me smile and I let it stay shaking my head at him.

He pulls up to this place called "Bludso's Bar & Que". We walk in finding a seat at the end of the bar and when I go to grab one of the menus he takes it out of my hand putting it back.
"How am I supposed to order?"
"I got it, trust me." I rolled my eyes propping myself on my elbows. An older guy who looked like he had seen the world once or twice walks over to us cracking a root beer under the table setting it in front of Cody.
"How have ya been belli, "
"Good, sir what about you?" Cody takes a drink and I watch the interaction smiling. The man talked so casually to Cody making it obvious he was one of the usual costumers to be in here.
"Great, what would you like to drink sweetheart?"
"Jus-"
"She wants an ace of hearts, she's 26." I scold Cody as he talks over me. The least he could do is let me order my own drink. I watch the man pour all the ingredients then grab a bottle of vodka and I drop my jaw hitting Cody making him laugh.
"Cody its 1:30 why the hell did you order me vodka, "
"Cause you smile really hard when your drunk and I want nothing but smiles from you." I wanna be mad but all I can do is smile. I smile at the guy nodding before taking a sip, damn it was good.
"Here your usual half a rack of ribs, mac and cheese, honey baked beans and rolls with house-made honey butter." He sits down the food and I admire the food that smelt absolutely amazing.

"Have you talked to him?" Cody says as I shove another roll in my mouth.
"No haven't tried neither has he, "
"Good he doesn't deserve to talk to you, " I cheers my drink and take the last sip I had.
"So what's after this? "
"We have to go to the field, you gonna say it's time for Dodger baseball. Then after the game were going to karaoke, "
"Karaoke?" I narrow my eyes and stare at him confused.
"Yes, karaoke. Me you and some of the guys and the wags, "
"Great so your gonna surround me by a bunch of happy couples, "
"Oh shut up your gonna be too drunk to even notice, " he laughs and join him smiling the hardest I had in a while.
