Aidan's POV

I stared at him for a while. His eyes were red and puffy, and he was shaking like a hyper 3 year old. This is a dream, right. Shame, Lily was hot.

If this is a dream, then it doesn't matter if I act out of character, right? And he had prominent goosebumps up his arms. Hesitantly, I took out one of my jackets and placed it around his shoulders. His eyes widened slightly, looking crystallised and glassy, completely destroying his whole "bad boy" look, as described by the lovely females of the more popular area of school.

That also reminded me of something else; I'd never seen him with anyone before, as in friends. Lawrence, I mean. Everyone hated him; apart from a few girls who considered his darkness sex appeal. I mean, he was attractive for a man, I suppose, with his spiky hair and silver eyes with blue specks dancing around. He also had snake bites; which obviously I hadn't seen before since he didn't have them in in school, though he had a septum piercing in last time I saw him, he now had a curious looking gap. I knew about the side effects of you-know-what, and I saw pictures of it too, and it looked different, but since he went to jail a while ago for reasons that are not confirmed, people wouldn't really doubt what they saw.

I winced when I realised what had happened; someone had ripped it out. Painful. I knew people disliked piercings, but that was way too harsh. I bet he was teased for that. There really was no light at the end of the metaphorical path for him, was there.

He looked vulnerable, not tough like before. He had pale skin, and was a lot more bony than he seemed. I felt a little sorry for him, he had no one; I mean, I was usually disliked, but he wasn't even given a chance.

Returning back from my thoughts, I realised that I still had my hands on his shoulders, and was staring into his eyes. He looked petrified; like a bunny in the headlights. I felt my eyes widen and I quickly pulled my hands away. "You can keep the jacket. Uh, bye then." I said, and I swear I saw him smile a little. As I was leaving, I heard his stomach growl. Turning around, I handed him the rest of my roll and coffee, then quickly walked away.

I got home, avoided my mom and lay down on my bed. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep. In my clothes. That would be comfortable in the morning.

I woke up on the floor with my jeans pressing against my thighs, seeing as they'd slid slightly down, so you could see the waistband of my boxers. Ugh.

Sighing, I got up and changed my clothes and sorted my hair out. The blue of my hair had faded, and the black was starting to do the same. I was wearing the wonderfffuulll uniform, and decided to put on my black doc martins and headed off. It was only about 7, but I didn't think to eat or take a shower. What can I say, I like to live on the edge.

By the time lunch rolled around, I was starving. I ate the pizza I got from the cafeteria, and waited for Eli. He sat down next to me and started picking at his sandwich, not looking too keen.

I sighed and said gently "You're going to waste away if you don't eat anything, you know. Besides, we have PE next, your going to need energy for that."

He looked down and started scratching at his wrists, like he did when he was nervous.

"Don't like PE, huh?"

He nodded and looked down, like he just confessed to something outlandish.

"It's OK, I don't like it either, I understand. Even though I'm not sure why, I mean just look at these guns!" As I started making weightlifting poses, receiving a giggle from Eli. He just said
