Aidan's POV
After Lawrence spilling his feelings to me, I didn't know how he would react. He'd done that twice now, which I bet is more than anyone else has experienced of him.
However, after a short while of hiding front him unsuccessfully, I slowly discovered that he wasn't mad at all, but, rather... Happy. When we were in classes, when we were looking at each other but no one else was, he would wave a little and smile, blushing.
He also tried to do things friends would, like giving me revision notes or waiting until I was out of the class, and though I could tell he was trying to be subtle, I noticed it eventually. I guess he wasn't used to talking to other people.
It was almost like he was a completely different person around me; unless he smiled like a five year old at Christmas towards everyone.
However, today was Saturday, with no homework and my parents were out all weekend due to a business trip that was apparently so important. Whatever.
So, I logged on to my laptop, deciding that I could have fun on my own. (Get your mind out of the gutter.)
So, I went onto an old online multiplayer game I found a few years ago when I felt lonely. There were only a few people on, which was expected as it was only 9am, meaning that people from the US had not joined the servers yet.
I typed in: hey :). Plain and simple.
After a few minutes, someone called MariaCountedMeIn replied: Hi. How are you? :). To be honest, I couldn't tell whether it was someone creepy or not.
Deciding to take the safe option, I said: Okay :) What about you?
Fine :) to be honest, I only cam here because I was just trying to get away from my parents, but now that you're here, I'll stay. :). To be honest, that was one of the nicest things that anyone has said.
We talked like that for what seemed like an eternity, about things like each other's favourite colour and other topics.
Suddenly, though, they said: I have to go. Bye!
I sighed a little. That was the last of that friend.
Probably.
