Aidan's POV

The next morning Bekki didn't question me on the previous night, though I could practically feel her eyes burning into the back of my neck. As I walked downstairs, I sighed, looking down at my mediocre uniform and ruffling my now almost completely faded blue patches of my hair. I never did dye it. There's always the future, I guess.

As I walked to school, I had a revelation (Or more like a horrible realisation); the fact that Lawrence might have forgot about telling me about all that shit. I wasn't even sure if he was telling the truth or not, it could've just been some drunk rant. But the way he was looking at me, I doubted that hypothesis almost fully.

This put me at a double edged sword, though; if he had forgot, (Assuming the fact that what he said was true) then I could potentially change everyone's opinion of him. To be honest, as I have mentioned before, I hate seeing people upset, more than anything, especially if it's something I could help with, or even just be there for whoever was in need of it. This was one of those situations, and I didn't want to just sit by, however, I had not nearly enough bravery to confront him.

The other edge of the metaphorical sword was going to be held if he DID remember, or at least remembered a big enough portion so that he knew it was me and he was mostly aware of what he said. If this was the case I didn't know what I'd do, since he could, well, do anything. I believed that (Until someone else proved otherwise) He was telling the truth and that he wasn't a delinquent, but he could easily get angry at me all the same. He wasn't muscly, but actually quite skinny, with a wiry frame, though I knew he was strong, as he had proved when he gave a good dealing to Liam (Remember him? Yeah.)

The first two lessons were boring; however the third, English, I had with both Eli and Lawrence. I was walking down the corridor on the way to said English lesson, when someone pushed me sideways.

I immediately said (Without even thinking) "Hey! Come on, watch where you're goi-" Before I finished the sentence I turned and saw who I was directing my sentence to. Lawrence.

"ng. Uh, sorry? I didn't mean to shout, or something, uh, are you okay?" I had no idea what to say. I didn't want to make him feel like I was afraid of him, though I still truly wanted to get away as fast as I could in case he did pulverise me. I expected to see the cold, hard as rock, expressionless eyes that he usually wore, but instead they were lively, with familiar blue specks dancing around. They quickly changed, though, back to the original, cold, scary look. I liked the first better.

"Whatever." He simply replied with. That's it? I wasn't expecting a lecture, but something more than that would be nice! I'm getting way too worked up about this. Great.

As I walked across the fake wood floor of the English room towards my seat, I catch Eli staring over at me, his sleeve, covering his hand, was on his face, hiding a flushed face and a small smile that I could just about see the corners of.

Trying to get the replaying image of what happened out of my head, I turned to the front of the classroom, where the teacher had stood up and walked to the front of the class. "Today, we will be reading and analysing extracts from a range of different genres of books and other forms of writing," She began, and already I was getting a bad feeling. Most of the time when we started a new subject, we would talk about it with someone else or in a group, and if you don't know by now, I hate the concept of civilisation. Besides, the only people I knew in this class were Eli and Lawrence, and I didn't want to have to work with someone I didn't know. The was also Caleb, but, no offence to him, I didn't really want to make it harder by one of us being physically unable to actually use their voice.
