CHAPTER 5: SOTY

CHAPTER 5: AWARDS NIGHT

MINA'S POV

We are heading to the awarding event since our song 'What is love?" is nominated in the Song of the Year. I'm hoping that we could win because I believe in us and most especially I trust Onces. It is a vote-based award so I think Onces will show us their love through votings. Onces are great and we owe them a lot.

After a couple of minutes I realized that my phone is not on my pouch. I decided to ask Tzuyu since Jihyo and Dahyun are both taking a nap while Nayeon, Sana, Jeongyeon and Momo are on the other car.

"Tzuyu, do you somehow saw my phone earlier?"

"I saw it earlier on top of the table" she answered.

"Shoot. I think I forgot it there."

"Hopefully other members saw it and just keep it for awhile." Tzuyu stated.

"And I'm hoping that it's not Jeongyeon. "

"Wae? Hahahaha" Tzuyu asked while laughing

"She knows my password because she always pranks me and hides my phone so whenever I try to get it from her she threatens me that she'll throw it if I didn't tell her my password."

"Did you change your password now?" Tzuyu curiously asked.

"My bad. I didn't."

I'm half nervous and half excited right now. Nervous if Jeongyeon-unnie found out that I'm texting someone I don't even know personally and excited because of the awarding. After 30 minutes we arrived at the venue and waited for the other car. As soon as I see it coming I immediately approach it and ask the member individually if they saw my phone.

"Nayeon-ah, have you seen my phone?"

"Aniyo. Wae?" (No. Why?)

"It's missing and I'm not even sure if I really left it in our make-up room" I worriedly answered.

"Try asking the other members"

"Jeongyeonnie, did you see my phone?"

"Aniyo." She answered.

I'm really frustrated with myself right now but I need to act as if I'm not because for sure there are Onces inside the venue.

The special awards night begins. Performances of every nominated group are usual in every awarding event and the night went fast up until the announcement of the winner for the Song of the Year.

"Song of the Year goes to...." MC announced thrillingly.

"I'm really nervous." Jihyo said.

She's always like that in every awarding event most especially when we are nominated in a particular category and it is not shocking since Jihyo is God Jihyo J but no kidding Jihyo is our leader so she really felt pressured.

"Song of the Year goes to Twice: What is Love?" the MC announced.

As soon as our group called we immediately headed to the stage. We are shocked and happy at the same time since it is really a pleasure to stand on this stage receiving this award.

After the event we went back to our make-up room to pick-up all our things before heading to our dorm. This is also my chance to look for my phone since I haven't found it yet.

"Mina what are you looking for?" Jihyo curiously asked.

"My phone's been missing since earlier"

"I thought Jeongyeon borrowed it from you"

"Wae?"

"She's using it right now."

"Jinjja?" I unbelievable asked since I asked Jeongyeon earlier but she told me she haven't seen it.

I searched for Jeongyeon and found her comfortably sitting on the lounge.

"YAA!" I shouted to catch her attention.

She plainly looked at me and after a couple of seconds reality hit her. She laughed so hard and immediately hides my phone on her bra. Yea seriously. She's Jeongyeon, she really is.

"Jeongyeonnie, can I have my phone back?"

"Let's talk about it later at our dorm" she said.

Looks like she'll be doing some negotiation again. I don't know but Jeongyeon really loves playing pranks.  She's like a mother of us most especially in terms of household chores but it all fades when playful Jeongyeon appears. 

"Promise me first" I told her.

"What?" she asked.

"Don't open my phone. Please let me have some privacy." I beggingly stated.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA"

"Pftttt. Hahahahahaha"

A bunch of laughters can be heard from my back and there I found Nayeon, Momo, Sana and Dahyun.

"Minari, are you really begging right now?" Sana asked.

"Mina's begging maybe she's hiding something huh." Nayeon teasingly looked at me.

I just sighed since NaJeongMoSaDa are all great in playing pranks with the other members. What I do think right now is to just have my phone back. I badly needed it back.
