Ella's POV

I woke up to the sound of Riley and the twins crying. Mum And Dad still seemed to be asleep so I took the matter into my own hands and went into Riley's room.
"Ri! What's the matter?" I asked, sitting her on my lap. Then there was a huge crash of lightning and Riley wailed. "Oh," I said, "Come here, we will go get the twins and we will go in my den for a little while, how does that sound?"
She nodded, "Yeah, Ella will you look after me?"
"Of course," I picked her up and took her into the twins room where I said the same thing and the twins followed me.

We all sat down in a circle on my bedroom floor, "Right, do you guys want to sleep in the den with me?" I asked just as another lightning strike hit and they all screamed.
"Let's all get our duvets and put them into the den, then we can play some games until the lightning passes." They all agreed and we gathered up their duvets and pillows and made the den look really cosy. I switched on my fairy lights and my small lamp and went to sit down with my siblings. They were all huddled together in one corner.

"Ella, thanks for looking after us, the light is making me feel comforted." Zack said to me. Just then, the lightning must have struck hard outside as the power went flat out.
Zack, Jess And Riley screamed, "Ahhhh, Ella!" Riley wailed.

I was a little scared now, "Let's lay down and try and get some rest." I suggested.
It didn't work, Riley cried on, Jess screamed on, Zack just sat there his head in his hands. I got them all a drink of water and put some of daddy's vlogs on. It seemed to calm them down quite a lot, which was good. We must have watched about 10 vlogs before they finally dropped of to sleep.

The lightning and storm went on outside and I prayed that there wouldn't be another loud strike that would wake them up, we would have to go through all that malarkey again. I laughed to myself, 'Malarkey', what a funny word.

"Ella, Babe, whats the matter?" Mummy and Daddy came over to me and saw the twins and Riley laid there. "Oh mummy, daddy, there has been a storm and they got scared so I brought them into my room for a bit, we watched some of your vlogs and they dropped off." I explained.
Mummy looked at me hard, "You're a little star." She started, "You could have woken us up you know."
I nodded, "I know, I just thought about you and being busy and, really you both need rest to look after us 4, I wanted to give you a break."
Then daddy sat down next to me, "You are a shining big sister, you are so helpful and just amazing." He told me. I smiled, "thanks."

Mummy and daddy hugged me, "You don't know how much you mean to us little star." Daddy said.
I giggled, "I love you." They hugged me harder, "We love you more."

"So, do you want to keep the kids in here or do you want us to..." Mummy started.
"No, I'll look after them." I interrupted. Then, Riley woke up and started to cry again.
"Riley, sis, what's the matter, it's ok." I comforted her, stroking her hair, she liked that. "I just heard more lightning!" She cried. I put her on my knee again, "It's ok, you can stay with me for a bit, we can watch Daddy and Mummy on YouTube."
She nodded, "Yes please."
Once again I put daddy's channel on YouTube and to the watching eyes of my parents I calmed Riley to sleep. "What a star." Daddy whispered to mummy.
"Ella, come here," Mummy said. I got up and followed them.

"So, we have been noticing you and your passion for helping us around the house and with your siblings and we wanted to reward it." She started.
"And, we decided that tomorrow, we would fly out to America with you and your siblings, and we would go to Disney World." Daddy finished for her.
I screamed, "You're joking?"
"No, we are going to Disney World, TOMORROW!!" They said.
I broke down in tears as I hugged them, "Thank you, thank you, thank you,"
"You're very welcome, now you need to be up early to pack." Daddy said before tucking me into bed and sending me to sleep, I went to sleep with thoughts of Disney in my head.
