Joes POV
I squeezed Dianne's hand as we walked into the adoption centre. I knew what was just around the corner, we were meeting the manager, and we were going to see some of the kids and hopefully decide the one for us.
Dianne gave a little wink to me as Ella skipped in front of us.
"What do you think they are going to be like?" I asked Dianne, "I hope they are nice and welcoming, otherwise we shall have to think again." I nodded in agreement.
Dianne went to reception whilst I sat down in the waiting room, playing with Ella. "Ella baby, do you want to play here for a bit while me and mummy see the manager? Or do you want to come with us?"
"Um, I don't mind either, i could wait out here if you want." She said, coming to sit on the seat next to me. "I just don't want to think of you alone."
"Honestly I'm fine." She assured, "it would probably be the boring stuff anyways." I laughed to myself, she was so excited about this whole new sibling and adoption thing!
"Hey guys," a tall, friendly looking man said, walking into the room, "I'm here for your meeting."
"Hello! You must be peter, the manager?" Dianne said, shaking his hand.
"Yes, that's me!" He smiled, "nice to meet you both."
He waved to Ella and she went all shy, "You must bee Ella." He laughed, holding out his hand for her to shake.
"Ella, shake this nice man's hand." I pleaded, "Nothing to be shy about."
She shook it a little gently but she did it and he took us into one of the back rooms for the meeting, away from the bustle of the centre.
