Dianne's PoV
When we arrived, i slung my bag over my shoulder and hugged and kissed the kids goodbye, "Have a nice day Mummy." Riley said to me whilst giving me a hug.
"You to beauties." I kissed them all in turn and gave them a hug, "Bye!" I waved to them as they pulled out of the space and away, back home.
"Morning Di." Jennifer, the receptionist said to me like she always did, "You Alright?"
"Yes, what about you?" I asked her whilst signing myself in.
"I'm fine thanks Di, lovely day for the meeting." She laughed, looking outside.
"Sure thing, feel bad for you actually, having to sit here at the front desk all day."
She nodded, "I know, it's sometimes worse, but anyways, you'd better get upstairs!"
I looked at my watch, "Oh yes! bye Jen,"
I waved and then opened the door behind the desk, leading into a hallway with a staircase. Jen was the woman who used to babysit Zack, Jess and Riley when they were younger and I brought them to rehearsals, she always kept some toys behind her desk in case it happens again, and I can't wait for her to meet Brielle and Alex.
After what seemed like 30 flights of stairs, I made it up to the room where everyone was. God, I was late.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late." I told the pros, "I had a busy morning, Brielle was up la-."
"It's ok Di, come take a seat." Oti said, patting the seat next to her, "come catch your breath."
I sat down and put my bag on one of the racks.
"The celebs are coming in about 10 minutes." Oti added, taking a sip of water.
I nodded, "Yes, and guys I'm not taking part this year."
"Aw why?" Nadiya asked, turning around from the mirror she was doing her makeup at.
I laughed, "Well, after we adopted Brielle and Alex we have been really busy."
They all nodded, "Yeah, it sounds hard like, having 6 kids." Amy giggled.
"Guys, the celebs are here." Jen said, coming in with a few people crowded behind her, "Come on in guys." She turned to them.
A few seconds later everyone was stood in front of each other, the pros facing the celebs and vice versa. "Hi guys!" I said, being the bubbly one in the group, "Welcome to Elstree!"
A guy, I think he goes by the name Dev Griffin, smiled to me and laughed, "Hi!"
Everyone said their hellos and we had a chat and a cuppa, then we got used to the dancing together.
I did a jive with a lad called Karim and he was proper good, he was a professional almost. Amy danced with Dev, and she did a cha cha.
The day went really well, we talked, laughed, smiled and almost rolled around laughing. It was so much fun and I was so happy I went.
"Bye guys," I said to the pros, I had to go home to the kids and Joe and make sure that I saw them before they went to bed as it was quite late already.
They all waved to me as I walked out of the door and I said my goodbyes to Jen and all the staff.
"Goodnight Guys, see you tomorrow..."
