Jessica's POV

At the dinner table I could sense something was different. There seemed to be an air of quietness between everyone, I didn't dare speak at some points.
It was mostly Ella, mummy and daddy that weren't talking and they stayed rather subdued throughout the meal. I feel like they are lying to me, I'm sure they didn't go and visit Ella's new school, she has only just started 5 months ago, and she won't be moving again.
But I don't want to accuse them of anything yet, but I'm going to call a sibling meeting, without Ella of course. But then again, I feel so bad plotting against them, because at the end of the day, they're still my parents and Ella is still my sister.
I feel we should just wait until they tell us what they need to say...

Ella's POV

Well that was awkward...
Me, mummy and daddy were mostly silent during dinner and I could sense uncertainty between the others. Jessica whispered to the twins a couple of times and Riley giggled at me. Mummy and daddy ignored the chatter, and once they had finished, dad pulled out his phone and slid it under the table. He wrote a message and showed me it. It said, 'I can't keep this a secret any longer, so let's hope Di agrees with this plan. I say we should get the shirts out now. (The shirts that have Thing 1 all the way up to Thing 4 on them) and put them in a box. Then we should put the twins shirts (Thing 5 and Thing 6) at the bottom of the box so that they pull them out afterwards! Then they will find out about the new kids in a cool way!'
I nodded and pointed to mum and shrugged, I did really hope she would agree, it would be such a nice idea, especially after that awkward dinner.
"Course babe." Mummy said, getting up and winking at me, I followed her, as though I was helping her take the plates out, but instead we went to the garage and pulled the shirts out, all neatly wrapped with each of our names on.
"Right, mum we have them all, put them in the box now?" I asked. Mum smiled, "Yes, put them in and fasten the lid shut."
I did just that and then carried the plain cardboard box into the dining room. "Dad look we got a package." I said, giving him a little smile. "Oh, kids want to help me and Ella open this box up?"
Everyone nodded and soon everyone was stripping tape off or ripping the box open. Then we all pulled out our own presents, Riley opened hers before dad said 'go!' And screamed as she saw the shirt. I thought she had found out and I laughed, but she then followed it with a, "Oh my god, I love this shirt more then anything!"
"Right there are two more," Dad said, pointing to them.
"Oh, one for mummy and one for daddy!" Riley said, but dad shook his head, "No princess, I've already got mine, so who are they for?"
Riley looked confused, "I don't know then."
"Well open them guys!" Dad yelled as we started ripping the paper open and then I heard everyone gasp as they opened the first one.
"No way are we adopting twins?!" Jessica asked, but dad nodded, "Yes way, we are adopting again!"
Everyone screamed, "When do we get to meet them?" Riley asked. "Thats next week." Said Dad.
Then everyone opened the last present and Jessica nearly fainted.
"Twins?" Riley asked in disbelief, Dad nodded, "Its twins!"
We all screamed again. "Oh my god!" Riley cried, hugging dad tightly.
