Chapter 34 : The First Attack

Right now, we're at the mansion. Everyone is currently sipping some blood, except me of course. Taeyong cooked for me and it was delicious. It was all good until all of their necklaces including mine glowed.

Y/N : "Mm... what's going on?"

Everyone started whispering and I was more confused. I tugged on Taeyong's hoodie and he said...

Taeyong : "Something's going on in Vescana. We need to go back now."

Y/N : "Ok then, go. I'll take care of your mansion for you."

Taeyong : "Thanks, sweety."

He said as he kissed my temple. Taeil started to open a portal and Jaehyun whispered to Taeyong. He nodded and they left. I'm left all alone. I wonder what's going on that needs every one of them to go back.

#Taeyong's POV

We hurried back to Vescana. I felt bad for leaving Y/N alone but she's safer in the mansion. We finally arrived at the castle and I talked to my secretary, Siwoo.

Taeyong : "What's going on, Siwoo?"

Siwoo : "Your highness, the rebels have started to attack the barrier and it's starting to crack. The soldiers are in position and waiting for your orders."

Taeyong : "Ok. Taeil hyung, head out to the gate and try to hold the barrier as long as you can. Siwoo, gather all the villagers and let them in the castle for protection. The others, go and prepare for battle. Jaehyun and Mark, you guys stay by my side. Remember, do not attack first. Even though, they are rebels, they are still our fellow vampires. Everyone understands?"

Everyone nodded and changed to their vampire forms. We then went to the gate where the rebels currently are attacking. There I saw Chan. He was just standing there calmly. In front of him was his brothers, all 8 of them.

Taeyong : "Chan! Stop the attack and we can talk first!"

He then signaled his soldiers to stop.

Taeyong : "Taeil hyung! Shut down the portal!"

Taeil : "What!? Are you crazy!? They might attack us anytime. You can't trust them, Yong!"

Taeyong : "It's fine, hyung."

Taeil soon shut down the portal and Chan came forward, I did too.

Bang Chan : "Hey there, dear cousin. It sure has been a while, huh? You've been appointed to king, I see. Well, your highness."

He said as he bowed jokingly to me.

Taeyong : "Cut it, Chan. What are you doing here?"

Bang Chan : "What am I doing? This is my home, hyung. Does anyone need a reason to go home?"

Taeyong : "You go home and attack your home?"

Bang Chan : "Hahahaha, that's not really the thing here you see. We came to crush the stupid monarchy and with you being king, things have just gotten far much easier."

Taeyong : "What makes you say that?"

Bang Chan : "You believe people too easily, dear cousin. Too easy, so I can do this!"

As he said the last few words, OPRØR started to attack.

Taeyong : "Damn you, Chan!"

He just laughed it off. Soon, it was chaos. Everyone was attacking one another. The village was starting to crumble, blood was spilled, and many men were hurt.

Taeyong : "Jaehyun! I will go to Chan! You take care of the things here!"

Jaehyun : "Be careful, hyung."

Taeyong : "Kun! Lift me up to find Chan"

Kun : "Sure thing, hyung!"

With the help of Kun, we then flew to where Chan was at.

Bang Chan : "Hahahaha there you are, dear cousin! Did you like my surprise?"

Taeyong : "Shut up!"

As I said that, I landed a fire punch at him.

Bang Chan : "That hurts, hyung. How can you do that to your dear cousin?"

Taeyong : "I wasn't the one who started this, Chan."

Bang Chan : "Hahaha, I know, well let's get to it, shall we?"

We started to fight in an intense manner. I then got an upper hand and started to attack him nonstop. I managed to grab a hold of his neck.

Taeyong : "Now, what can you do, Chan?"

Bang Chan : "My father always says, never... underestimate... your... opponent."

A sword suddenly came out of his pocket and he slit my back. Blood splattered and the pain was unbelievable. I soon released him from my grasp.

Taeyong : "You hid that all this time!?"

Bang Chan : "You are powerful, dear cousin, but not even you can handle this much amount of pain. You must also notice something by now."

I was wondering, why didn't my wound start to heal by now. Then, it hit me.

Taeyong : "Is that a blood sword!? Where did you get it!? It was a lost treasure!"

Bang Chan : "Oh dear cousin... this was OPRØR's dear property that my father found years ago, you see. You must know, wounds from a blood sword cannot recover..."

He then stabbed my chest and blood splattered.

Bang Chan : "Just like that!"

He pushed the sword deeper until it went through my back. Soon, everything turned dark...

2nd chapter of the day! Phew... that was intense. Sorry for the bad war scene. I had a hard time trying to explain it especially the details ( which I totally couldn't do ) cause I just couldn't  put the scene I was imagining into words. ( Haha best author ever. ) Also, to all the STAYs out there, I'm sorry that I made your beloved Stray Kids as the bad guys, I love them a lot but their image just fit with the concept I'm going for.

Anyways, thank you so much for the support towards this fanfic! It's a dream to have this many people reading this simply done story.
