Chapter 32 : OPRØR

OPRØR is a vampire rebellion that consists of vampires who don't agree with how the vampires live in modern day. They don't want to live alongside humans and they believe that we need to be above humans and treat them as prey. It's been around for quite a long time and is currently no.1 in the monarchy's blacklist. Once, a big war happened between the monarchy and the rebels. A lot of vampires died that day and one of them was the leader of OPRØR. Since then, OPRØR haven't made another act. I heard that the son of the past leader is going to take over recently but I didn't know that they would attack this soon.

Taeyong : "Y/N! Stay behind me!"

Men 1 : "Isn't it the new king? What does the monarchy feel like?"

Men 2 : "Who's behind you?"

They grinned creepily. 

#Your POV

Taeyong soon turned vampire and started to fight the men. He was fighting alone and I couldn't do anything. I felt useless. Soon, Taeyong took my hand and we teleported to an open field. I looked at him and observed his body carefully for any injuries. Thankfully, he only got a little bit of scars. I crossed my arms and looked at him.

Y/N : "Care to explain?"

Taeyong : "That are vampires that are a part of OPRØR."

Y/N : "OPRØR?"

He started to explain to me what OPRØR was and why they attacked us.

Taeyong : "They always wanted to overrule the monarchy so they can get their freedom of living. But vampires can't live like that anymore, not like the old days."

Y/N : "Are you in trouble then?"

Taeyong : "I'm afraid so. But I'll handle it."

Y/N : "So do you know who's the leader right now?"

Taeyong : "Of course... it's Bang Chan, the leader of Stray Kids and my cousin..."

Y/N : "What!? Bang Chan is your cousin!? That means..."

Taeyong : "Yes, my uncle was the first vampire to rebel towards his own brother, my father and the founder of OPRØR."

Y/N : "Woah, I never expect that..."

Taeyong : "My uncle never liked the fact that we needed to bond with humans and hide our powers. He wanted the vampires to be on top again and he would do anything for it. War soon happened. My father didn't want to fight back at first, he knew it wouldn't end well. My uncle then died in battle and my father regretted the death of his brother till now. That's why he never wanted anybody to talk about the war and OPRØR. But that aside, OPRØR is rising once again and war is soon to happen. Cause if I know Bang Chan's personality, he must want revenge. We must tell the others. C'mon!"

He pulled my wrist.

Y/N : "Hey, hey, hey, aren't those OPRØR guys going to chase after us?"

Taeyong : "I believe not. That was just a wake up call for us that Chan made, telling us that OPRØR is back."

Y/N : "Ok..."

He continued to walk but I could see his anger. His eyes were piercing like a knife. I'm worried.

As soon as we arrived at the mansion, Taeyong gathered all of NCT.

Mark : "What's wrong hyung? It's rare of you to hold an emergency meeting like this."

Taeyong : "OPRØR is back guys."

Everyone was surprised and they started to gossip among themselves.

Jaehyun : "Did anything happen to you guys?"

Taeyong : "They attacked Y/N's apartment while we were eating dinner. I guess they followed us there."

Taeil : "This is bad..."

Doyoung : "Wait, is Chan leading?"

Taeyong : "I'm afraid so."

Taeyong sighed.

Taeyong : "That's why listen up! We need to be more cautious from today onwards. If you see them, attack and gather as much information as you can. You will also take turns guarding and accompanying Y/N."

Y/N : "What? What does this have to do with me?"

Taeyong : "They know about you and me. It's unsafe for you now. I'm sorry to put you up with this but I promise that the guys will protect you."

Haechan : "Just leave it to us, noona! We won't let those OPRØR snobs touch you even a bit!"

Renjun : "Hyung, should we contact Vescana?"

Taeyong : "That would be great. But tell them not to do anything yet just tighten the defense around the village and castle. We need to be careful guys. Remember the last war? I can't stand seeing that again..."

Everyone went quiet. It must've been horrible. I could also see that Taeyong is really affected every time he speaks about the war.

Taeyong : "That's it guys, be careful and always be prepared!"

Everyone nodded and soon left the room to continue their activities.

Y/N : "Hey, you okay?"

He suddenly hugged me tight.

Taeyong : "I'll never let them hurt you, Y/N."

I brushed his hair slowly.

Y/N : "I know..."

I smiled as I was in his embrace.
