Chapter 36 : Nightmare

In the medical room...

I saw him still just lying there, silence filled the room. I pulled a chair beside him and sat down. I looked at his face and stroked his hair slowly. Tears started dripping down. I heard the door opening and Taeil came in. I quickly brushed my tears away.

Y/N : "Ah, Taeil oppa, are you here to check up on him?"

Taeil : "Yeah..."

He then went closer to Taeyong and put his hand on top of his wound. I stood there, worried.

Taeil : "He's slowly recovering."

He looked at me and continued,

Taeil : "That's a good thing."

I exhaled in relief.

Taeil : "Don't worry, Y/N-ah. He'll wake up. He's stronger than that. You know that too."

Y/N : "I just don't know what I'll do without him. The 3 years without him were horrible. We just got reunited and this happens. Maybe, we're just not meant to be."

Taeil : "I may not know how you feel but I do know that you're faithed together. I could sense it. So don't worry okay?"

He pulled me in for a hug.

Y/N : "Thank you, oppa."

Taeil : "Ok, now..."

He broke the hug and held me by the shoulders.

Taeil : "Go home, Y/N. Go home and rest."

Y/N : "Not now, oppa. Yong hasn't woken up yet. I can't."

Taeil : "Just trust me and go home, okay? I'll call you when he does."

Y/N : "Okay..."

I then walked towards Taeyong and kissed his forehead. In my mind, I thought, "You must wake up, Yong. You must."

I said goodbye to Taeil, grabbed my things and went home. I tapped the key on my apartment door and went inside. There Hyeorin was sitting on the sofa, she greeted me and hugged me.

Hyeorin : "Y/N!"

Y/N : "What are you doing here, Hyeorin?"

Hyeorin : "Your brother sent me to check up on you."

Y/N : "What are you now? Oppa's spy?"

Hyeorin : "C'mon Y/N. You know he's just worried for you."

Y/N : "I know, I know. I'm fine. You can go home now. I just wanna sleep."

Hyeorin : "You okay, hun?"

Y/N : "Something happened and Taeyong is in a coma."

Hyeorin : "What!? How is he!? And when did you guys meet again?"

Y/N : "I don't know, rin. I'll just tell you the story next time, okay?"

Hyeorin : "Okay, but in that case, I'm not leaving you alone."

Y/N : "Suit yourself, I'm going to my room now."

She nodded and I headed to my room. I threw my body on the bed and closed my eyes.

Your subconscious...

I was in a dark room with no lighting whatsoever. There I saw Taeyong. He was standing with a bright smile on his face.

Y/N : "Taeyong?"

I asked but no answer. He reached out his hand and I grabbed it. We then started running for I don't know how long and we ended up in the playground. There was a beautiful sunset and Taeyong smiled at me again. The view was beautiful, both of them. He hugged me by the waist and kissed my forehead. We then kissed and I was so happy. We pulled away and looked into each other's gaze.

Suddenly, Taeyong got stabbed from out of nowhere and the sky went dark. Blood splattered everywhere and I immediately catched him before he fell. His chest had a hole through it. I cried. I screamed his name over and over.

Y/N : "Yong! Yong! Stay with me, okay!? Hold on! Please stay... Don't leave me, please..."

He just looked at me and smiled. He stroked my hair and he said to me with a small voice,

Taeyong : "I'm sorry I can't keep my promise, Y/N-ah"

With that, he slowly disintegrated and turned into dust. I quickly grasped my necklace but it disintegrated as well. He and the necklace got blown off by the wind. I cried harder and screamed his name as loud as I possibly could. I just stayed there, sobbing my eyes out. I then heard a voice.

Hyeorin : "Y/N! Y/N! Wake up!"

I opened my eyes and saw Hyeorin shaking me to wake me up. I immediately hugged her and sobbed.

Hyeorin : "It's okay, Y/N. It's okay. It was just a nightmare."

I didn't reply and continued to cry. Then, I heard the ringtone of my phone. Hyeorin took in and saw the caller.

Hyeorin : "Hey, Jae's calling you."

Y/N : "Huh?"

I sighed and picked up the call.

Y/N : "What is it, Jae?"

Jaehyun : "Y/N, hyung woke up."

I gasped.

Hyeorin : "What? What's wrong?"

Y/N : "He woke up! Omg, I gotta go now!"

Hyeorin : "What? He woke up? Omg omg omg"

Y/N : "Yeah, where's my bag, I gotta go."

Hyeorin : "Here you go."

Y/N : "Thanks..."

I rushed to my door but before leaving, I turned to Hyeorin.

Y/N : "Thank you."

Hyeorin : "Hey, you've done more for me and what's the use of being best friends if it's not for times like this?"

She smiled. I smiled back and left.

First of all, I'm very sorry that you guys have to wait a very long time for this update and I'm very grateful to people who didn't drop this. Honestly, not just that I have been busy with school but I did also encounter a writer's block. Because of your support and a whole binge watch on Twilight (FYI really love the saga, #teamedward right here), I can continue making this.
