Finn: besides I deserve it

It felt good to be away or at least it felt good to Finn. Noah jittered anxiously every now and then, he constantly checked his phone and asked for water every time a stewardess walked by, Finn had never seen him so nervous. Whenever Gaten would attempt to touch his arm Noah would flinch and immediately apologize. Noah's anxiety was so loud that Finn had been able to completely block out his own.

While Finn waited for takeoff, he shed off his zip-up hoodie and placed it on top of his shoulders. "Finn!" Finn turned his head to the seats behind him, Noah and Gaten. Millie smiled sweetly at him through the space between his seat and the window, Finn smiled back and hummed a response. "Are you excited?!" He wasn't really sure anymore, excited seemed too big of a word but nothing else seemed to fit as well. Instead of interrogating his own mind, Finn smiled and nodded, a lie is sometimes better than the truth. Millie smiled widely and then sat back in her chair, pushing into the conversation Sadie and Caleb were having next to her.

Not long after takeoff, Finn felt his eyes slowly slip shut as he listened to Gaten and Caleb talk about hockey through the seats. Finn had dreamt of nothing as he so often did. He would dream of nothing tomorrow night just as he had done the night before. It never bothered him, nothing was better than a nightmare. Anything was better than a nightmare, sometimes even other nightmares were better than some. Finn didn't want to get into that idea.

"Finn?" The tallest boy grumbled a warning before letting his mind slip back into the abyss. "Finn, " this time Finn let an eye open before he squinted it back shut and nuzzled his face into his jacket. "Finn!" Finn's eyes snapped open, Noah let out a snort at the face Finn had made while Gaten smiled humorously at them. Finn scowled and only let himself drop the not-so-heated gaze when he faced the window. He hadn't been on an airplane since he had gone home after that week in LA with Jack. After the incident at the beach, Wyatt and Jaeden had grabbed his suitcase and clothes from Jack's house and had given him a ride to the airport. Wyatt offered to fly with him back home but Finn had refused, he needed to learn how to stop being a fucking coward. He had driven to wherever he needed to go since then.

The time it took for all six of them to get to the baggage claim area was far too long. They had stumbled around the airport for a good ten minutes before finally finding a map that was outside of the cafe. Finn had seen a familiar flight attendant but he quickly ducked his head in embarrassment and continued their mission of getting all of their bags from the fast-paced carousel.

"Where did they say they were going to meet us?" Caleb asked as he ran his fingers through his stiff hair.

Sadie pointed to the escalators that were right across from baggage claim, "right over there, I believe." The six began to walk to the escalators with a certain sense of caution with Finn as their leader since he knew what they would most look like.

"Finn!" Finn turned to the parallel set of escalators and gasped, Chosen Jacobs, smiled widely and held his arms out in a hug. Finn raced to him and threw himself into the boy's arms letting himself relish in the boy's right hug, it was like coming home. Once pulled away, Finn was in awe at how the whole airport seemed soft now, Chosen Jacobs made everything seem so much softer. The rest of the group came up and each gave Chosen a warm hug.

"Where's everyone else?" Gaten asked.

Chosen chuckled, "they went to go bring the vans around front! Wyatt, Jeremy and I have our licence so we were able to rent vans for y'all's stay!" Finn smiled widely at Chosena nd brought him in for one last hug.

"Fuck, I missed you guys," Finn breathed into Chosen's shoulder.

The darker boy laughed and nodded sincerely, "We missed you a lot too, Finn." The two parted from their hug and Chosen showed them the way out of the airport.

The group of teenagers watched intently for Wyatt and Jeremy driving two vans, they finally spotted them when Wyatt pulled to the curb followed closely by Jeremy. Finn, Caleb, Noah, and Gaten jumped into Wyatt's van which also held Jaeden. Sadie, Chosen, and Millie got into Jeremy's can which held Sophia. The two cars filled with chatter as the two separate groups got to know the people in their van.

Wyatt and Jeremy pulled into Wyatt's driveway and parked allowing all of the teenagers to get out. Everybody embraced all the people they didn't have a chance to and Chosen even got hugged a few extra times, to which he wasn't complaining.

After their more proper reunion, the now group of eleven filed into Wyatt's mansion of a house, everybody but the five that had already been to Wyatt's home awed and oohed as they walked through. The home was just big enough for Sadie and Millie to share a room and for Caleb, Gaten, and Noah to also share a room while Finn stayed with Wyatt in his.

The gang decided to rest for the day but promised that the next day they would go to the mall for a movie.
