"Dash!!" Everyone cried
I held up my hands to quiet them down.
"Easy, easy...it's me" I replied
"Where were you guys!" Mercedees cried
"Some other universe or something...I don't know" I said
'This could be worse than we thought, Fan's soldiers already took this town and are looking to put the entire world into a warzone." Mercedees mumbled
"What do you mean, we weren't gone for that long" I replied
'Yeah, but due to her powers. You were gone just long enough" Jessica replied
"What are they, I kinda had a dance with her back in that other world." I asked
"We found out from the director of the SPIB told us what he found out, she has Memory Manipulation, Adoptive Muscle Memory, and Space-Time Manipulation." Fisher said
"Yeah...that would probably explain the forgetful memory I've been having and the portal thing" I said
"We were just heading back to base, but her men jumped us" Mercedees replied
"Well, how about we push through." I said, smiling
"Yeah! Let's get moving!" Abby cheered

"How far is this place?" I asked
We have been walking for I would say about half an hour, going through city ruins, ruble, and all sorts of destruction. There was no sign of life anywhere, I must have been gone longer than I thought, or maybe this is due to Fan's space-time ability.
"It shouldn't be that far now" Jessica said, smiling
We heard a girl's cry echoed through the street, it sounded like she was upset.
"Who was that?" Mercedees asked
"I don't know, I'll run up ahead and scout out the area" I replied
"Alright, just be careful." Abby said
I ran up a few blocks and saw what the source of the noise was. There was a little girl, I had to guess she was around 12 or 13, she had long black hair that went down to her lower back. Her eyes were a bright purple color. She was beating on this dead soldier and was covered in blood.
"It's your fault!!" she cried
She punched the shoulder, causing the ground to crumble around her. She must have powers, enhanced strength maybe? I tried to approach the situation at hand.
"There seems to be a problem, you okay? Do you want some help?" I asked
She turned around sharply, shooting daggers into me with her eyes.
"Uh oh..." I mumbled
"Get away from me!!" She cried
She shot for me slugging me in the stomach, I flew back into a building and fell to the ground.
"I'm trying to help you!" I groaned
"You can't help me!! Nobody can! I'm the only one who can!" She screamed
She launches for me, pulling back for a punch. I held up my right arm to block her incoming attack, her fist made contact, and my arm bent. She bent my artificial arm, she dented it! I pushed her arm away and swung my leg into her stomach.
"I know what being alone feels like, but let me help you. What happened, why are you so upset?" I asked
"No, you don't!! You don't know what it feels like to lose someone you care about. You'll never know!" The girl cried
My kick didn't do anything to her, she responded with throwing me to the ground. She pounced on me and lifted her arm up.
"Now get out of my way and die!!" She cried
"I do know goddamnit!!" I shouted
I startled her with my change in tone.
"I do know what it's like, cause I've been there before. I know what you're going through" I replied
I let out a sigh
"I'm not sure if you have heard about me but in case you don't, my name is Dash. About a year or two ago I lost a good friend. I was fighting this one guy and he managed to take him by surprise...I didn't even get to say goodbye to him" I said
I was talking about Jason, back when we were fighting Miles. He managed to catch Jason off guard and kill him. I looked at the girl in the eyes, she was crying.
"Y...your Dash?" She asked
I nodded, and she broke down into tears.
"You're here... you're finally here. This war can finally be over one day" She cried
"What do you mean? What war?" I asked
"The war against Fan" Mercedees said
I shot my glance over to Mercedees, she was standing on a pile of rubble.
"Ever since you left the whole country has fallen into chaos, civilian raids, Fan's soldiers locking down certain districts" Jessica replied
"You need to help us Dash, I want to help fight with you...so my parent's sacrifice won't be in vain" The girl said
"What's your name?" I asked
"It's Mia" Mia replied
"Well, if a whole war is going on, we're going to need all the help we can get" I replied
"Alright, let's bring her back to base" Mercedees said
Mia got off of me and helped me up.
"I'm...sorry about your arm" Mia replied
"It's alright" I said
"Your arm?" Jessica asked
I lifted up my dented arm to show to everyone, Jessica put her hands over her mouth.
"What happened?" Jessica asked
"I got into a fight and...well I think you can fill in the rest." I said
Mercedees put her hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry about your arm, I'm sure Fisher can make you a better one." She replied
"Thanks" I said
"Now we need to get moving, we're almost there" Jessica called out
