Chapter Twenty Three: For those who have stayed

"Stop right there!!"

I turned around to be met with gun barrels, we were surrounded.

"Shit!"

"We were given orders to bring you to our leader, come with us cooperative and we will spare you your lives."

"Dash?"

I held up my hands

"Alright, you got us"

Mia looked at me in shock

"What?!"

"It's okay, trust me" I whispered to her

She held up her hands to, two of the soldiers walked up to us to tie us up.

"Now!!"

I grabbed the soldier's rifle and hit him with it. Mia punched down a soldier and sent him flying out the window we came in.

"Get back!!" I shouted to Mia

I held up the rifle and started to fire at the soldiers, it took them a while to start shooting back. I took out about 12 before I was overwhelmed. I fell back to where Mia went, but I was shot about four times, once in the shoulder, twice in the stomach, and once in the thigh.

"Dammit!" I cried

"Dash! Are you alright?"

"I'll be fine"

I looked over the side and saw the guards aiming their guns on us.

"Dammit...we're surrounded"

"Dash, what do we do?"

We could move anywhere...we'd be shot dead if we did that. What can we do?! What can I do!

"Dash! Get down"

I looked ahead of us and saw Fisher, what's he doing here?!

"Mia! Hold onto me!!"

She grabbed onto me and we went down to the ground, all that filled my ears were the sound of gunfire. It later about 3 minutes before it ended. I made sure that Mia wasn't hit before I got up.

"Fisher!!" I shouted

"What's up Dash!"

"What are you doing here?"

"Well I thought it over and I thought I'd help you out"

"That's great!"

I looked behind me and Mia looked happy to Fisher as well, with his help we could probably do this.

"So Dash, what's the plan?"

"Our plan is to find and kill the last Fan after that's done. We will regroup with the others and think over our last move"

"I think I saw her over here, follow me"

Fisher walked ahead and Mia tapped me on the shoulder

"He knows where Fan is, we can do this Dash!!"

"Mhmm"

I followed Fisher down the hall, the place looked much nicer than Delacroix's facilities. Almost futuristic. We made our way down the hall before making it to one big hallway.

"I saw her last here, I didn't want to openly attack her. I wanted to leave the honors to you"

"Where could she have gone?"

"Not sure."

We looked around for any sign of Fan, after about 15 minutes. We found nothing.

"Mia! Find anything?"

"No! Sorry!"

"Fisher, what about you?"

I heard no response.

"F...Fisher?"

Shit!! I turned around and swung my hand to the side, a knife flew out of Fisher's hand and I flipped backward to escape his grasp.

"D...Dash man, what are you doing!" Fisher laughed

"I should ask you the same thing...Fan"

"W...what are you talking about, Dash. Have you lost your mind?"

"Don't bullshit me!"

By the time this was happening Mia had already noticed something was up. Fisher lets out a sigh.

"Alright alright, you got me"

Fishers body melted off before all that was left was Fan, not mine obviously.

"What gave it away?"

"I know Fisher, he had his mind pretty set on leaving. So seeing him show up here wasn't likely. I have to say though, thanks for bringing yourself to us"

"Dash...what's going on"

"Fan has been with us the whole time"

I lower my stance a bit.

"So we might have a fight on our hands"
