Mercedees, Mia, the SPIB, and I all fell back from our "victory" that was the prison bust to get me out. I found out that they lost 1,345 people during the battle. All those peoples lives wasted just to get a pathetic piece of trash out of the enemies hands. I laid there, staring at the ceiling, how about...I leave. Run away from everyone, it would be better without me around...right? Or maybe I should kick the bucket, I mean I'm already starting to fade away. I was pulled out from my thoughts when I heard someone knocking on the door.
"Yes?" I asked
"It's Fisher"
He let himself inside, his face was bruised and wrapped up. I felt bad
"I finished what you wanted me to make" He said, handing me an expensive looking syringe
"Thanks" I said
I jerked again, for a few seconds. It was still as painful as when it happened at the prison.
"You used them didn't you?" Fisher asked
"..."
I think he already knew the answer
"What's happening is that your body can't handle the new power. Especially from the other universe, your atoms can't handle it."
"What?" I asked confused
"Want me to use game terminology again?"
"Sure"
He cleared his throat.
"It's like a virus, when you used the potion, it put unknown code into your system. Eventually turning them into glitches. In other words, you're glitched"
I took a minute to take in what he said
"Or...remember that one superhero movie, where the villain was looking into an alternative universe and accidentally brought more of the same hero into his world from the different universes"
Oh, he was talking about that movie...what was the main character's name again...Miles? I don't know, but I understood what he was talking about.
"Yeah?"
"What's happening to you, is what happened to those other heroes but the opposite way around"
"Oh..."
I thought for a moment, how bad was this?
"How long do I have?"
"I don't know, but it's going to get worse"
So my time was limited huh? That's...good!
"Just...don't get erased before we beat this thing"
"I'll...try"
He smiled and then left the room. It's time to leave if I'm going to eventually disappear. Then what's the point in fighting? I got up and left my room.
"Dash! You're awake" Mia cheered
I...I could take her with me, I grabbed her hand and started running.
"Wha...Dash! What are you doing!!"
I didn't listen to her, we ran and ran and eventually stop at the roof of a worn down building.
"Dash, what was that about?!" Mia asked
"Mia..."
I paused, before continuing
"L...let's run"
"R...run?"
"Yes...away from here...away from the resistance...away from Fan."
"Dash...what are you saying?"
"W...we can find a nice place to stay in. W...we can live together!"
I've gone insane, haven't I?
"D...Dash." Mia stuttered, blushing
"I was thinking, off the coast of Mexico, there is a small city named Cancún. W...we can go there"
"Dash..."
"Actually there are a lot of places, but that seems like a nice place. We can buy a nice place there"
Mia was silent, I think...she wanted this. Did she?
"Just...having someone at home wait for me after a long day. Having you there...I know I'll be able to do anything"
I felt tears go down my face...I really did go insane...didn't I
"So please..." I continued
I shot downward, holding out my hand.
"Please...come with me!! I'll give you all that I have for the rest of my life!!"
