Chapter Twenty Four : True Hero

"Now I just showed up and you're already challenging me?"

"The mission was to take you out, it's as simple as that"

Fan started to laugh

"You're already too late, let's say you do kill me, what then? Your Fan isn't here so what's the point?"

"We will be one step closer to beating you." I retorted

"Beating me? Ha! I've won more battles in this war then your group ever did!" Fan screamed

"You may have taken the lead, but I'll even the score" I replied

She walked up from behind me, I stuck out my hand.

"You won the battle, you won't win the war" Mia said

She walked up from behind me, I stuck out my hand.

"Well then, enough talking. Come at me!"

I let out a long sigh, this was it. Life or death, this would make or break our future. It's behind me, all of it. What I did in the past, to Abby, Jason, and Jessica. It was time to prove myself, this is more than a fight, it was a chance to prove myself...and I think it's the same with Mia. We are fighting this Fan here and now for different reasons. Mia, it was the death of her parents, and for me. It's because of my past.

"Ahhhhhhhhh!!" I shouted

I launched towards Fan and swung my fist down, she slammed into the ground but got up directly after, she was barely stunned from my attack! As I was fighting, I thought back to when I lost my arm, when I lost Abby and Jessica. She made me lose my mind, but that's all in the past...I won't be controlled by my feelings anymore! As she backed up I didn't give her a chance to recover, I started throwing punch after punch...

"W...what?!" I asked, in shock

I wasn't going all out, but due to the power-up from the potions I was moving much faster than I normally would, but she was dodging every attack as if it were nothing!

"Dammit!"

I jumped back to gain some distance between her.

"Dash, what's wrong!" Mia cried

"She's keeping something secret, stay on guard!!"

"Da...!!"

I felt a sharp stinging pain, I looked over to Fan when I noticed she had a long bladed weapon, dark crimson blood, dripped off of it and onto the ground. I looked down to me and saw whose blood that was. A long gash starting from the left side of my stomach to my shoulder on the right side and blood was pooling out of the wound, I coughed out a lot of blood before stumbling back. She was just as fast as me!

"Dash!!" Mia cried

She ran to my side in an instant.

"No!!" I screamed

She looked at me worried, I gave her a cheeky grin.

"This may be harder than I thought if we have any chance of winning. We have to work together"

I wiped my chin and spat on the ground

"Fan, on guard! Dash the hero will strike you down!!"

I ran to her and threw a punch as she did with the other ones she effortlessly dodged it, but not only that she quickly and flawlessly spun around and cut my cheek. I spun around and threw my leg into her. It slammed into her side and she buckled in pain, I threw my fist down onto her head and she cracked the ground on impact, she spun around and tripped me.

"Mia now!!"

Mia ran over to Fan and threw her foot into her chin. She flew back and slammed into the wall.

"Dash, get up!"

I threw myself up and told Mia the plan I was thinking of.

"Mia, I managed to have a hunch on this Fan's power but I need to make sure of it. If all goes according to plan I need you to take out my sword and strike her down with it."

"Got it!"

Fan started to get up and recover from Mia's kick, this was it. Digging my foot into the ground and ran over to her, pulling my arm back. I was about to swing before Fan, quickly put another gash into my torso, it hurt like hell but I couldn't stop. I ignored the pain and screamed in response I threw my built up punch and she dodged it.

"Now!!" I cried

Using my left hand, I came up with an uppercut and she flew into the air to the right.

"Mia now!!" I shouted, my voice cracking

I felt my sword slide out from behind me, this was it!

"Raaaggghhh!!!" Mia cried

I then heard the sound of metal breaking.
