Nashi watched as her blonde twin walked away. "Let's get started." Igneel mumbled under his breath before turning to a shelf of large books. Nashi's lips fluttered and she turned to a similar looking shelf. Now Nashi did enjoy a good book every once in a while but every book she skimmed through was just the same as the last, full of boring facts about what the guild was made of and the construction of it. 'There has to be more to it, right?' She thought.
But she found nothing. Eventually she got fed up of this. "Igneel, I've been searching for a long time and I can't find anything." She said. Nashi was sitting at the table with her hands holding a half way opened, "Fairy Tail History: Volume 7"
"I have been searching too." Igneel said, he was standing by a bookshelf skimming threw a book titled "Mages of Magnolia". "But you don't see me complaining."
Nashi's eyebrows furrowed. "You don't have to be so rude about it, sheesh." She said as she picked up a new book from beside her, "The Ways of Fairy Tail". The pinkette skimmed through a few pages before sighing loudly for her brother to here. Igneel just ignored her and continued to look for answers.
"Ig-"
"Stop it Nashi, keep looking!" Igneel slammed the book back onto the shelf and grabbed another. The tips of Nashi's hair flare up with flames. A object suddenly hit the side of the shelf right by Igneel's head.
The blonde looked down to see "The Ways of Fairy Tail" on the floor, the edges of the pages burned. "I am tired and my brain is fried, Igneel! I need a brake!" The fire dragon slayer shouts.
The sharps gaze of Igneel's mocha eyes hit Nashi but he quickly drops it after realizing his sister is right. "Alright." He answers simply. The boy was about to join his sister but he heard a 'crunch' from under his foot.
A book was wedged between his shoes and the floor. "Must have fell when Nashi threw the other book at me ." He mumbled. The cover was made of brown leather and had the same strange symbol that everyone in the guild has, the children came to know it as the fairy tail mark.
Nashi came up to her brother and peered at the book. It seemed to scream 'open me' and she went with her gut. She slowly turned the cover and script writing was written on a blank page.
"Fairy Tail's Strongest Team"
Both the kids seemed to perk up at these written words. After a long time of finding nothing this book intrigued them.
Turning the page once more they saw a picture of four people, well five if you counted the cat standing at the bottom of a blondes foot. "Look, there's Erza and Gray." Nashi said, pointing a finger at the two.
"Is that dad?" Igneel asked. Natsu was smiling, his arm thrown over there mothers shoulder. The children were amazed at the photograph, they barely saw there father but seeing there father smile was a shock to them.
Igneel slowly slid out the picture from its place on the page. "Fairy Tail's Strongest Team Assembled." Was what is said on the back.
Light crashes were heard but the kids ignored it. They flipped through picture after picture, page after page. They soon learned that there father always seemed to be near Lucy and a blue cat named 'Happy'.
Igneel and Nashi smiled at the pictures, there parents past became clearer to them than it had a week ago. As they came to a picture in the middle of the book with the group posing in front of a theater, Luke came in the room.
Nashi asked Luke about the crashes earlier but his answer was muffled, she was to caught up in the pictures. Luke than asked Igneel about 'Iwain' but the boy just gave him a weird look.
"Let's go get some food." Igneel said before leading his brother out the door. Nashi stared at the picture for a few more seconds, silence filled the room. The girl was deep in thought.
She wanted her life to be like the picture, her father and mother smiling as they hanged out with there friends, taking her and her siblings on jobs. She longed for it.
She closed the book and tucked it under her arm. "Soon dad."
