~Sabertooth Guild~

Tears streamed down from the blondes brown eyes as she stared at the castle-like building. Thoughts of her children sent a heart-wrenching feeling into her body as she thought to the past couple of days.

As the kids walked to school that morning she had received a letter written in messy handwriting that she identified as Natsu's. It had said that he would 'try' and come home to her and the children tonight. This had been one of the rare occasions where her husband even bothered to write to her, much less about him coming home, Lucy had her doughts but she prepared a special dinner as a celebration.

"Is this good enough, Princess?"

The celestial mage turned around to see Virgo pinning a 'Welcome Home!' banner to the doorway of the dining room. Lucy smiled and nodded her head from her place in the kitchen before placing the final touches on the steak stir-fry.

Virgo got down from the step stool that was helping her pin the banner and looked at the clock on the wall. 4:17.

"Princess?" Virgo said suddenly making Lucy huff. "No Virgo I won't punish you." The blonde said in an annoyed tone. Even though this deflated the celestial spirit she simply shook her head.

"Princess, the children should have been home from school an hour ago." This made the blonde freeze. She had gotten so excited with the thought of Natsu returning that she had lost track of time.

Lucy looked up at the clock to see that indeed her kids were late. "Can you please set the table while I call the school?" Virgo nodded and handed Lucy the phone while she gabbed the pan full of food and brought it to the dining room.

With the push of a few buttons, the lacrima powered phone rang. "Hello, this is Shizuka Prep, how many I help you?" Worry continued to flare in the blonde woman's eyes but she kept her voice calm over the phone as she spoke. "This is Lucy Dragneel, I was just wondering if my children were dismissed on time?"

The receptionist paused for a moment and murmuring could be heard on the other end. "I'm sorry Mrs. Dragneel but it seems Luke and Nashi did not arrive at school this morning." Lucy was left dumbfounded and stayed silent.

"Mrs. Dragneel? Are you still there?"

"Y-yes, I'm here, but I'm afraid there has to be a mistake, the twins walk to school with there brother and-" She was cut off by the receptionist. "There homeroom and history teacher, Mrs.  Sanders, reported that the kids were not at school all day, we also had a call about Igneel saying he entered the school but left just as the first period began.

It was unlike Lucy's kids t skip school especially Igneel. Thoughts of them being hurt or worse flashed in her mind.

"Mrs. Drageel?

The woman continued to call for Lucy but the blonde was still internally panicking and eventually, the receptionist gave up and the 'beep' of the deadline rang in Lucy's ear.

"Is everything alright, Princess?" Virgo asked as she came back from setting the table.

Lucy simply furrowed her eyebrows and ran upstairs to her and Natsu's room. Digging through a chest she always kept locked up she pulled out her gate keys attached to her belt and strapped it around her waist.
