18 The first Girlfriend

"The... food is ... not that... (Looking for average word for food!) Bad. I have tested some other good food though." I said smirking at him for the first time.

With my not so appreciated answer his slowly growing smirk stopped and turned into straight thin line through his pursed lips. See!! I can also make him lose!!

After that lunch was done in silent mode. I took more time though because my throat problem. After finishing lunch, Mr. Jerk and Ethan went for some business meeting. I took initiative to do the dishes. Charlotte cleaned the table.

After finishing with work we sat on the couches in living room. I made my way to the lobby outside the living room. Soon I felt presence behind me and found charlotte taking her time absorbing the beauty of nature. It's one of the sunny days. It is Monday and people don't have holiday like me. Everyone passing through canal root seems busy in their own work.

The nature outside is plentiful. We both stand there just in silence. – the comfortable one.

"You know. " Suddenly Charlotte started to say something still looking outside.

I turn my head towards her in assurance that I am listening. Small smile crept on her lips as if she is remembering something.

"We are just three. We never need any other person to be with us. Actually people out there can't get along with our personalities. Ethan being more than talkative, Zacky serious all time and me" She laughed a little.

"I on the other hand was just afraid to let anyone in my life after my mom's death." Oh my god!

"I m sorry, Charlotte." I placed hand on her shoulder squeezing a little.

She just shook her head lightly and smiled at me. "You are the first person- actually a girl I could stand. You know, I just like you from the moment I got to know that you helped me. You seemed different to me than other girls. I tried in my school to make some friends in girls but apparently I ended up being with Ethan and Zacky only. Ethan had his mates from Football team though."

What can I say? I m speechless knowing the fact that she actually liked me.

"And I m not surprised that those two boys too actually got along with you. I think that's common thing we have. You are just unique and you are my first girlfriend!" She turned to my side giving me side hug.

"I can take Ethan as getting along with me but... Jerk- I mean Jack ? I refuse to believe." I said to her.

She again smiled and said, "Trust me when I said he also got along with you and if he didn't then you would be in your Hotel room by now."

"Thank you." I thanked her and she looked confused.

"Thank you for being my friend. I think no one becomes friend with stranger let alone on a first day of person being here. I was freaking out in plane thinking about the new people I would meet because I am poor at making new friends let alone starting a conversation." I said nervously.

"No worries. But I am feeling that this friendship has so many years for adventures and the stuffs like we did today." And ladies and gentlemen the bubbly Charlotte is returned. She said this by jumping up and down like 5 year old.

"Sure will do." I hugged her this time. And an idea popped in my mind!

"Charlotte!!"

"Why not. I mean next time we can pull our stunts on the jerk of your friend Nicholson. Because he needs to know the importance of life" I said excitedly.

Charlotte beamed at me she was about to say something but immediately stopped. She suddenly looked paled and she is looking behind me.

Behind me?

Taking clue of her direction I also turned around and to my bad luck- VERY VERY BAD LUCK there was standing Mr. Furious as ever in his all glory and I know colors of my face would have gone by now.

Did he listen what I said? Of course, the way he is shooting daggers at me says it all. He is standing in front of us folding his hands as if waiting for any further explanation.

I gulped down and looked at Charlotte and she is already looking at me. Can't she help me? Afterall I am her first girlfriend. I again took a look at Mr. Furious and he is still staring at me.

Why she can't get herself out without clashing with Jack? Jiyana now probably want to hit her head somewhere.

She was planning to pull prank on person being in HIS house! Jiyana knows that she is in deep shit now!

Whether she'll get any help from Charlotte or not? WE'll see it next.
