46 - In Very Early Very Healthy Good Morning

I froze there. Slowly I took step back still grinning ear to ear but eyes scrunched in confusion (I probably looked like funny character!). I did only thing I was best at. I ran away from him.

Can I hide away from this Man, because he caught up with me in no time.

"Do you always do this?" Jack asked and I faked a confused look at him.

"You always run away from the things you can't handle." He stated and I couldn't hold back and said,

"I knew you will catch up with me. Running away was just a simple excuse to get some time to produce some realistic or unrealistic excuses or make myself ready for the next thing coming and I don't run away from the things Jack, I accept them."

By this little speech of mine, something flickered in his eyes which was unreadable as he instantly came back to his normal self. Leaving him to his pool of thoughts, I sat on a nearby bench to enjoy cool air of morning.

Jack kept running in circles catching a look every now and then as if to ensure I didn't run away. By the time Jack finished his laps of run and sat beside me getting himself back to normal, people has actually started their morning walk.

"Okay whatever you plan for bringing their love to surface, don't make it too childish. Ethan is not a high school student anymore. He will catch your tricks instantly." Jack warned me.

"Ethan may not be high school student any more but his brain hasn't accepted the fact, has it?" I never let go any chance to revert back to Jack!

"Ohh come on!!! I'll inform you beforehand. And let's get you out of the park before any hormones driven girl come running for you." I hit it!!!

We walked towards the exit and I extended my hand to Jack.

"We call it a truce then?" I raised eyebrows with anticipated eyes.

"Can you manage to make this any less dramatic?" When I shook my head in denial, he took my hand causing tingles run through my hand.

We reached home, me grinning ear to ear and Jack sulking over what he just agreed upon. Charlotte was sitting on couch, holding her head with her hand. Ethan came out of the kitchen holding cup of probably the coffee. He placed the cup on coffee table not so gently and stomped to his room.

Just then Charlotte went to her room holding cup of coffee in one hand and her head in other but she didn't forget to close the door loudly showing her frustration.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at this childish behaviour of these adults. I turned to leave but almost stumbled on my back but the reason of my stumbling caught my hand. So that event had two witnesses.

"Do you really want to bring them together? You can invest this time somewhere else." That turned my normal gaze automatically turned into glare.

"Ohh Jack don't worry you are going to help me." I smiled triumphantly and went to check up on now sober Charlotte.

"I really did number on this time, didn't I?" Charlotte asked as soon as I entered the room.

"You could have hit that girl on head or pulled out her hairs or splash the costly glass of wine on her small piece of fabric, you know."

Silence...

Charlotte looked at me and then we both fell in fit of laughter.

"Why do you have to hold your feelings, Charlotte. All you have to do is go to that dumb-ass and tell him, that's it." But Charlotte shook her head denying my idea.

"J, I can't because fear of losing a friend is more than fear of not getting the love of life."

"How about this, 'Hey, Ethan I love you and it is totally okay if you don't have same feeling for me, we can always be friends." Charlotte stared at me for few longer seconds caused me to roll my eyes.

But my defeated stance turned into 'I am wicked girl' grinning. Charlotte caught the look and was already shaking her head. But girl do I ever listen?

"We can make Ethan fall head over heels for you."

"No J." said Charlotte

"Yes J." I reverted.

"NO."

"YES"

"NO"

"YES of course."

"No"

"NO" I said.

"Yes." Charlotte's tongue slipped!

"That is what I'm saying."

"Urghh, you and your mind games J."

"Ohh girl shush. I assure you that you will not lose your so called dumb friend. And after all Jerk is going to help us."

I said it casually but Charlotte spit her coffee and looked at me in horror.

Ohh, I forgot she was drinking coffee and Jack helping Jiyana is quite a news for her.

"How can Jack help-" I cut Charlotte off before she start rambling about the unnecessary things.

"Ohh you shut up. I convinced him to help me. And you have to just act according to whatever we will plan." I wiggled my eyebrows to get any reaction from Charlotte.

"When did exactly Jack agreed to help you?" Do I get my work done without being questioned?

"In very early very healthy good morning."

So this lockdown vacation is not helping me to brighten my writing spirit. 

But here I am!!!
