*Two Days Later*
Me and Izaiah stepped out on to the arena floor for our doubles round.
Port: For our second doubles match, we have Wolfgang Xiao Long Branwen and Izaiah Wargrey of team WIRZ from Vale, versus Ares Kayce and Rain Ayana of team AARK from Atlas!
Oobleck: Both of these teams are legends in they're academies, so this should be an epic fight!
Then the zones started being selected.
We were stuck with the storming mountains, city ruins, forever fall forest, and the open plains.
My gauntlets were tight on my arms as I got into a combat stance.
Rain Ayana was girl that was somewhat shorter than me.
Her weapon seemed to be a four foot long baton that had a mace handle under that.
It was segmented into five pieces of cylindrical steel that had ventilation holes in it.
She had long black hair that was dyed red at the tips.
Reminded me of Ruby when she tried out long hair.
Ares Kayce was a guy who was slightly taller than me.
His weapon was two medium sized one handed scythes that had guns on the top.
The flat black handles had gun triggers that were definatly were a part of the gun pieces.
I couldnt see his face because he had full armour.
These people scared me because they were fourth years while we were only third years.
Oobleck: 3... 2... 1... Go!
I ran right at Rain while Ares charged Izaiah.
We passed eachother without a thought.
Rain activated her weapon and red energy ran up and down the baton.
I slashed at her while firing my shotguns.
She defended herself and eventually cut me off with a heavy rightway slash.
I jumped back.
Rain: Your one of those types! Alright.
She flicked her weapon out and the segmented peices fell loose.
Then she swung them around and I realized her baton just turned into a laser rail whip.
She swung it around her body.
Rain: What now?
I rushed at her and fired both of the shotguns.
She deflected the shots back with her whip.
We engaged in a fight that had me dodgeing almost everything.
Then she swung her whip from overhead.
With quick thinking, I grabbed it inbetween my gauntlets.
I kept twisting the whip around my gauntlets to pull her closer.
Her whip was crackling with electricity and fire.
Then I readjusted my gauntlets to where the rocket tubes were at her jaw.
She gulped
Me: Feeling lucky?
I charged up my semblance for a burst.
When it did, I shot the rockets into her face and she went flying back.
Her aura dropped from ninty-eight to zero really fast.
