I stood just outside the arena, facing my opponent.
Riley stood beside me, getting me ready, while the teammate of my opponent was doing the same.
Riley: Don't worry man! You got this! Its just one guy!
Me: Yeah. This one guy is a fourth year from Mistral!
Riley: Well heres some information. This guy has no ranged weapons and his semblance allows him to make you see things, but he can only control visions of himself.
I nodded.
Me: Alright. That helps a bit!
The intercom came on.
Port: Will all non contestants step off the arena?
Riley: Thats my cue. Good luck!
He ran off and into the stage.
Oobleck: For the first round out of two in the finals, we have Wolfgang Branwen, a third year beacon student, versus Kenji Akono, a fourth year from Haven academy! Wolfgang is the only third year in the singles, so all odds are against him. We wish him luck.
Kenjis armour was that of an old samurai.

He wielded a single nodachi super katana, but also had a secondary, much smaller sword.
Kenji: So. Wolfgang. Ive heard alot about you. Can you truly win in an unfair fight?
Me: Yeah. Especially if I'm the one with the advantage.
Kenji: Overconfident.
Me: Heh. Thats a lie.
Then the center of the arena raised up and the headlights floated above.
Kenji and I walked towards eachother.
He held his blade across my shoulder and I positioned a gauntlet towards his face.
Kenji: You truly hope to win? Prepare to be highly disappointed.
Oobleck: 3... 2... 1... Begin!
If fired my gauntlet as soon as he said it.
Kenji ducked under it and swiped my feet out from under me.
Then he kicked me in the stomach and I flew back.
When I looked up, he was standing right above me.
He tried to stab me on the ground but I rolled away and jumped to my feet.
I swung at his face but he ducked.
Then I landed an uppercut on his jaw.
He flew back but landed on his feet.
He ran right at me and started swinging with his nodachi in one hand.
