*Ares POV*

Wolfgang ran away once again...

What a coward...

He left Wes to fight me on my own...

Not to mention, they failed me...

Ardent failed me...

Rain failed me...

My own men failed me!

Now I waited outside of Salems doors.

She was hosting a meeting inside with the rest.

Me, Rain, and Ardent stood outside the room in silence.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Rain look at me with anger in her eyes.

How dare she even look at me in the first place.

I turned and pushed her.

Me: Don't ever look at me like that again.

Rain: Whatever. Shut it.

Then I slapped the bitch across the face.

Me: Don't backtalk me!

Rain: Is "dont" all you can say?

Then I grabbed her hair.

Me: If you ever speak against me again, I swear I will hurt you!

Rain: Please... Let go...

I dropped her to the floor.

I heard her sob.

I grabbed her shoulder and yanked her to her feet.

Me: Stand there and don't say a word.

All Ardent did was watch.

Good.

Ardent: It should be done soon.

I listened in to the room.

Salem: ...find the girl that did this to Cinder... And bring her to me...

Me: Yes it should.

A minute later, the door opened and everyone walked out.

When Cinder walked by, I put my hand on her shoulder.

She looked at me.

There was no emotion on her face.

I let her walk away.

Salem: You three. Enter.

We walked in and took our seats.

Rain stayed as far from me as possible.

Salem: Ares. I can only say how disappointed in you I am. You had so much potential.

Me: With all due respect, I was caught off gaurd.

Salem: It doesn't matter! You were defeated by a single man! A traitor to your team nonetheless!

Me: Right...

Salem: Now you've lost your army and you lost your ship... And it seems you've lost your partners loyalty...

She looked at Ardent and Rain.

Ardent: Negative ma'am. I stay loyal to Ares.

I smirked

Salem: And Rain. What of you?

Rain just looked down.

Salem: Okay.

Salem looked back at me.
